Ill St +13 @ Southern Ill...thoughts please

I am taking Ill State +13 as I can not see why this point spread should be this high on a inter state game where both teams are doing well

Very solid pick, Dante. I think you're very safe with those points. Probably getting about 5-6 too many. Illinois State has a good coach, and they will compete in every game this year. I'm gonna bet it myself.

think it's a byproduct of the SLU blowout the other nite. can't give extra-credit to the Salukis for that one because Bilikens are HORRIBLE (going against SLU has been a HUGE money-making fade for me btw). think the line is about 5 too much so will be taking. gl.

I've faded SIU several times recently and will do so again. This is one of my plays today. SIU is something of a donut team...a hole in the middle. They are guard-oriented and Brooks might grab a roster spot next year in the NBA. However, ISU should have the edge in the paint -- especially with Dilligard, who will be a tough matchup for the Saluki. Snowstorm and holiday might mean fewer fans in the seats too, perhaps taking away a bit of the home court advantage.
