Even the sharpest gamblers need to take time off...It is sometimes overwhelming if you follow every stat everyday...I have done great in NBA so far but have made only 3-4 bets in the last week or so as I feel I have lost the edge a bit...Best thing to do is step back, regroup, and go back when you feel confident and preserve your bankroll...The first sign of a LOSING streak I usually do this..

it's always good to take a day or two off. Especially if there are a couple of slow sports days, like a couple days early last week. I stayed as far away from ESPN and the boards as i could. Did a little lurking just to keep "in the loop". Gotta have time for friends and loved ones, especially during the holidays.

Betting on Saturday and Sunday is widely acknowledged over the years by Professionals as the quickest way to the poor-house. Real Pro's never touch them.

I have drastically backed off my weekend wagering. A couple reasons. Tough to be an effective moderator while betting all day and their is simply just to much action some weekends.

The weekends are the best time to play because Joe Public is flush with cash and a couple days off to watch his sports action. If you take a break do it during the week.

I dunno...the Lord said this to Moses in Exodus 31:14

'Therefore you are to observe the sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.

Apply Pascal's wager to that and you're talkin' massive positive EV to take that 7th day off.
