if the pats win the superbowl, i win $5,000 in a wager web playoff bracket contest

here is the question...do i hedge with philly on the money line, with the points, or both? i already got down on philly +7 and also under 48. i was thinking about hitting the money line too...but i haven't decided.

its called "babes bracket contest". basically, you had to pick the straight up winner of each playoff game. each team has a "babe" associated with it. so, as the team advances, the babe advances. the winner of the superbowl is "babe of the year" or something.

it's a nice contest...pays out the top 4 spots. i am in first and if the pats win, i cannot be beaten.

i think its a 10x rollover but, that doesn't bother me any...just gives me some ammo to fire during the ncaa tourney and (hopefully) baseball.

Good luck Blue congrats. To win the $5000 you need the Pats to win by any score right?, If that is the case I would take some plus 7 (or 7.5 if posssible) to make sure I win something say $2,000 but I don't want to tout either side it's up to you how much you want to hedge.

that makes a lot of sense but...is the smart thing to do to take the 7 and hope for the middle/push? or, am i just getting greedy at this point?

I was in this spot a couple years ago..had hit 6 of 7 in the RIO parlay contest, all I needed was the MNF game for 7/7 for 3 grand....I let it ride and LOST...

You will kick yourself if you don't...But then again all you have to do is win the game...It would be awful tempting not to let it ride, but the sunstancial rollover has to be factored in...

You would be risking 2750 or so to win 2500 with points, take the ML and risk apx 1 dime or whatever the line is at to win the 2500.00.

If Pats win like they will, you made 4 dimes.

The rollover is a factor i would think Blue...What if you put half 2,500 on Philly +7 and New England blows them out? You make 2,500 yes but the rollover of 10x's...

Its a tough call...I would probably let it all ride since you have a large rollover..Would be sweet as can beif you hit it both ways!
