I know USC is just as good if not better than the Tigers but have they played as tough a schedule as LSU?

The SEC is a much tougher conference, especially this year...I know Winky will have something to say if he see`s this

First things first LSU will not beat UGA, so that should put an end to ur postulating.

I can name 5 teams that would beat USC on a neutral field and should be given a shot at OU before them.

Let me qualify my remarks by saying Im a frustrated Bulldogs fan who hates that 5 foot nothing midget who cost UGA their shot at a National Championship.

If LSU wins and they are going to be very close to the #2 rating. They would even have a tad better chance if they win by over 10 points and USC stuggles just a little.

This could really be a bad beat for LSU and their fans.

Can you imagine LSU playing in NEW ORLEANS for the title?? WOW!

I thought winning margin was no longer a factor in the BCS?

I think winning margin should be a factor when it involves higher echelon teams...If LSU wins someone is gonna get screwed here..

LSU needs to put an impressive win together and have USC stuggle with OSU. That way they can switch spots in the AP and coaches poll. I don't think a 17 - 10 type win will do it either. LSU needs 31-10 type win.

Complete falsehood.

Why?

Because the AP and Coaches Poll are a major factor in the COMPUTER ratings and many pollsters are swayed by margin of victory!

IF lsu and usc both win, lsu will not pass them unless syracuse beats notre dame. notre dame wins usc finishes second. anyone says that OVERALL lsu has played a tougher schedule hasnt looked at the schedules. lsu replaced a cancelled game with marshall with a game against in-state powerhouse ULM,the dead last ranked team in the country. w.illinois didnt help much either. they face the same problem next year replacing virg.tech who have also cancelled a game against them, its impossible to find anything but a very weak team that still has an opening in their schedule less than a year away. its not really their fault but thats life.

I would love to see a Miami of Ohio vs. Boise State match-up!

That would be a great bowl game!

I'd much rather see LSU play Oklahoma than USC...

The truth though is that neither of these teams will beat Oklahoma this year...

NO WAY!

Stu: LSU didn't replace their lost game with ULM, they replaced it with then #1 ranked Western Illinois.

They sent out word to all 1-A teams that they had a date open & there was a deal on tap with one team but they backed out so the only team that stepped up was W. Illinois

If anyone wants to talk schedules, they should look at that pathetic schedule of USC's which is overrated. They played in the worst conference amongst the powerhouses & their ooc schedule had teams that were horrible this year so why not bring that up.

If LSU wins, they should be #2 as they would have beaten more top 50 teams then USC & played in a tougher conference & their loss was to a superior foe compared to USC's loss.

In other words SCREW THE BCS

Let's see what happens. I'm not a fan either way but;

If LSU hammers Georgia (helluva big "if") and if USC does not blow out OSU then the writers and coaches could very well flip flop them.

Keep in mind the AP and Coaches Poll's are MAIN componets of the BCS. Even if they were to flip flop in one of those polls it would be a virtual toss up as to who would land 2nd in the BCS.

What I think? Georgia is a legit top 5 team. But LSU's defense gotten much better the last 1/2 of the season.
LSU 27
GA 13

USC 31
OSU 17
ND beats Syr

I think USC wins the 2nd spot by 0.35

The Tigers goal this year was to win ANOTHER SEC Championship. That is the singular focus of the team right now. However, as a fan I am allowed to speculate, so....I will interject my thoughts on this bcs debate.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't try to justify USC's #2 ranking based on strength of schedule....that is straight up bullshit! When you look at the FACTS about both team's schedules, you will see that NOT ONLY has lsu faced a tougher schedule than the trojans, the tigers have done more against it. LSU MUST BEAT UGA in atlanta this weekend, but a win SHOULD put the tigers in the sugar bowl.

LSU is 5-1 against top 30 teams with a game to play.
USC is 2-0 against top 30 teams.

Eight of USC's wins have come against teams ranked 50th or LOWER.
ONLY five of LSU's wins have come against this group.

Five of LSU's opponents (Auburn, Arkansas, Georgia (twice), Florida) have wins over a team in the top ten of the BCS standings

ONLY one of USC's opponents (Auburn) has beaten a Top Ten BCS team.

So, if you still think USC is more qualified to be in the Sugar bowl, that's cool with me....just stop with all of the LSU shitty schedule talk, because you'll make yourself look like an uninformed douche-bag.

heard one of the BCS guys talking the other night and he said that is Notre dame beats Syracuse then USC stays #2. If Syracuse beats ND, then's it's LSU.

SHRINK

I like your style. You would rather see LSU play Oklahoma for only one reason. SO U CAN POUND OKLAHOMA!!! You know as much as I do that the LSU offense would be lucky to cross the 50yd line vs Oklahoma. Mauck would be good for 2 or 3 INT's....Neither team stands a chance vs Oklahoma so why all the talk. This is the year of the Coach Stoops BOOMER SOONERS!!!!
