They always want to compare Wars like Vietnam to Iraq how about the Civil War?

In both Wars people were being oppressed and the American President made the decision to use force to spread fredom.

Civil War- freed the slaves
Iraq War-Freed the Kurds, Shiites and Muslim women from Sunni Sadam Hussein

The blacks were freed after the civil war but it took over 100 years to truly be free.

The Iraqis were just freed over 2 years ago, it will be rocky but they can achieve true freedom with time as well.

Lincoln is considered one of the best presidents ever but in his time he was not so popular.

All of the Bush haters should realize that if his strategy of spreading Democracy in the Middle East works and spreads with the domino effect he will be known as one of the Best presidents ever.

The American civil war was fought by Americans on Americans, other countries had the plain common sense not to get involved.....there is NO comparison between our civil war and Iraq.

How many Iraqi's died in OUR civil war?

How many Vietnamese?
How many Koreans?

Not only do we fight our own civil wars, we fight other countries civil wars as well, and piss away thousands of soldiers and billions of dollars in the process.

The only domino effect happening in the middle east will be the continuance of violence and bloodshed there....
