"If" I wasn't here who would be good in my role?

Just thinking out loud right now to see what others think. The guys I recommended doing this ended up being my biggest bashers, LOL. Trust me I have not made a decision to leave, just want to hear the opinions on who would be good for this place? Interested though in the responses, some strong mods/posters around IMO who would do very well.

Anyway just curious what others think.....

Personally, I cannot think of any.

For that reason, I hope all the moderaters here have long-term no buy-out contracts.

Would be hard to replace any of them. They make a hard job look easy and do it in a very fluid motion. Hats off to you all.

Cards on the table man: I campaigned shamelessly for your position before you got it. You wouldn't believe the lengths to which I went. I'm not going to start on a rant here and embarass anybody, but I seriously recommend you don't ever go over to Dante's "to watch a few movies," espcially if he asks you if you would mind bringing over a cup of Crisco for some "cookies he's baking."

I would believe that Knowledge and temperment are two important factors when searching for a mod. Given the fact that forums such as the RX have thousands of members there are going to be numerous occasions where personalties clash, it then often falls on a moderator to remedy these conflicts and regardless of the decision they make, it most certainly will be met with more critizism. That is where temperment must be exercised, mods must realize that posters hide behind computer screens and opinions are always stronger and sometimes much more offensive than they would be if the same discussion were held at a round table. Some posters will try and push the envelope in an attempt to get under another poster or mods skin, we see it everyday. So when looking for a moderator I think it is vitally important to find one that recognizes these facts. Knowledge is the key to tolerance.

Life is short and money is not what it is cracked up to be if eating up what free time we have on earth, if you have enough to live reasonably well that is. Pat did not want this job to begin with and now he wishes he did not have it. Shrink has given the load to his mods and Pat while gallivanting. Pat must be thinking, "Shit!
