I have always heard people having success with these scratch offs....Anyone play them?

Way worse than the parlay, lottery returns about 50% in prizes. Most likely you get about $500 or less in prizes, unless very lucky. However I personally know a 100k winner and a 200k winner. These people buy them constantly.

I can explain real easy why you should not buy lotto tickets. After returning from a $300 profit day in the casino I went and purchased $200.00 in tickets and got less than 60 bucks back

depends. although it is usually a 50% pay out rate like Doug says, sometimes on the more expensive tickets they offer 87% payout plus. At least in my state they do. Check the odds @ the state lotto website first. If it's 50% pay out, you're just donating.

I honestly hope your kidding. this would be incredibly stupid. im not even going to waste time figuring the odds of you winning over your 2000.00 investment but if all it required to win was to just buy all the tickets don't you think everyone would be doing it? ...i will tell you this your odds of winning less than 200.00 are about 250 times MORE than your odds of even getting your money back.....

Lotteries are bad. It's a voluntary tax on the stupid. Those that can least afford it spend the highest % of their income on it. The two winners I know are relatively over-paid postal workers. The guy that won the 100k had nothing to show for it shortly after. Short version is bought GF's kid a car,taxes, cheated on her, thrown out of HER house, bought more tix, etc.

I also personally know a guy that won the state lotto for 3-4 million, back in the 80's. His story is different. He was already a millionaire. He was a coin dealer and a lotto agent, he did the agent thing for store traffic. He put his commisions into tickets. He won. I haven't talked to him in at least 3-4 years. He's old (75? +), retired in Fla.

He knew how to handle it !

Friend of mine, who I consider the real life "MUSH", was working as a cashier for a local gas station/car wash. He also sold the lotto tickets. Now he is a big degenerate gambler. So while he worked he would scratch off the tickets. He thought he had some system, since he got to watch all the losers being scratched off. He'd be able to time if there were still winners left in the roll or not. So anyways..he's playing the $1 and $2 tickets. Meanwhile they had some $5 game that nobody had played in like 4 days. Might have been $10 per ticket...im not sure...i think $5. So anyways...the same ticket has been hanging out of the dispenser for 4 days, while he's playing all the other games. So finally a guy purchases that ticket. He scratches it off right in front of my friend, and its a million dollar winner ! LMAO..this could only happen to this guy. Odds on lotto are stupid, I don't ever play.

I can justify buying Powerball tix with a huge jackpot, well almost. If the pot is like 300m +, it may in theory be worth it to play.

I can't justify the way my wife plays it, betting her birthday and month, call it 111 on the daily numbers, that's a loser. I'm spotty , I won't play PB for years, then buy a 100 tix on a whim, when the pot's big.

I can't deny her the daily number and can't teach her math.

I'm only a HS graduate ( sherman probably thinks I teach college math), what I did learn when not too stoned has value in this arena.

I can figure the odds of hitting a lottery game, given the parameters.

Math is your friend in sportsbetting.

I hated school, took a class called "Consumer Economics" as a senior, it was a class teaching dummies how to balance a checkbook, etc. I paid no attention, did homework from other classes, got 100% on every test and out the door at 11:14 AM everyday, if I even bothered to attend school.

School ain't for everybody !
