Ichiro didn't miss a beat after the beaning a couple nights ago and continues to chase the alltime single season hit mark of 257 base hits.

Game # 129

Hits 206

It should be very close if he can maintain the pace he is currently on...

If my math is correct then Ichiro is on base for an amazing 258.7 hits.

Yes he is like one hit ahead of the incredible pace needed to catch Sisler! Ichiro has missed one game this year...

we cant have a japanese guy no matter how good he is (and he is real good) with the hits record. They should walk him like they do Bonds.

Actually if this record was being threatened in Japan they would indeed walk a foreign player....

They did this a few years back when the Japanese HR single season record was being threatened by Randy Bass
