Most Canadians believe that if, in fact, we are a target of terrorists, it's our alliance with the US that has put us on the hit-list ... our decision to join you in Afghanistan certainly wasn't popular with them. The US pretty much did diddly about terrorism until it landed in their own backyard ... this 'surprise and disgust' in the fact that Canada isn't jumping on board the paranoia train is hypocritical.

Props to the bonehead who said that water won't be a problem in the future. Yes, 75% of the earth's surface is covered in water, but hey, genius, its not drinkable. Canada has the single largest supply of fresh, clean water on the planet. Combined with our other largely untapped resources, we are going to be very very rich down the road. American occupation may well be a threat down the road, but don't underestimate Canadian resolve against Americanisation.

As expanda put it, I must be the bonehead who said that 75% of the world is water.....yes, I said that, also said that on the planet I live on it rains....you know, that stuff that comes out of the clouds....I also said that water is recycled....

my guess is that the oil runs out first.....more people are going to be worried about how they get to work in a gas fed vehicle that uses oil as a lubricant than if the water they are drinking needs boiled....

...not to mention the impact on industry and a nation that relies on oil to survive.....
