Fuck you. Bowden has a stud kicker and had a chance to seal the game as opposed to taking a chance with a team only being down 6. Hell, if you watched the first two FSU punts of the game, you would have thought for sure NCST would get to those.

Nothing dumb about the call at all.

While i think the attitude is unnecessary, i agree

It was a dumb call because if he missed it NC st gets the ball at midfield with 2 minutes left to win the game. Also there's more risk of a blocked FG with the longer attempts. A 52 yarder is very risky in a college game. I understand they have a good kicker but it's still a foolish play.

Smarter decision would of been to punt it.

Quit trying to take a general rule and applying it to a specific case.

FSU had a better chance of winning the game by attempting that FG than they did by trying a punt and holding NCST to no touchdown. Close followers of FSU know it, and the FSU coaches knew it. And it worked.

That said, I would have preferred far more aggressive playcalling on 1st through 3rd downs.

How could anyone think that was the wrong call?

It absolutely was the wrong call. Easy to say not when the FG was made. A 53 yd FG is not even a 50/50 proposition in college. Let's assume FSU had punted. Even a bad punt would've made NC ST start at the 15 yd line with no TO's and a QB who can't throw. A missed FG would've put the ball close to midfield with momentum on the Wolfpack side. Not to mention long kicks are often blocked.

A bad punt punts them at the 20. Get that right 1st of all. It would have been a touchback. If he missed the FG, they start at the 35 yard line. So, FSU should be worried about 15 yards, even though they have a chance to seal the victory.

No wonder you think USC sucks, you are dumber than dirt.

I wasn't referring to a touchback moron. And a good punt makes them start at the 5 or 10. And USC does suck!

according to your previous post, a bad punt puts the ball at the 20. Get over the fact that you lost, it was the right call and they obviously know what Gano can do. Maybe should have known what he could do and you would have wagered correctly.

You don't give a team a chance to beat you when you have a chance to put away the game. It was absolutely the right call

you guys are hilarious...it was the right call because it worked, and bobby bowden's amazed reaction when it went through clearly demonstrated the gamble he took

if was blocked and returned for 6 this thread doesn't exist and in its place is a thread calling bowden an idiot...instead he is les miles, the brilliant calculated risk-taker

He made a good call because he won the game, lets not get carried away and say it was a no-brainer...

This is true but I do notice that these threads are often started by someone who is pissed because they lost a bet
