Love watching Kurt Warner, Fitzgerald and the rest of those Cardinal Receivers. Don't know much about their defense but i know it is a lot better than the regular season. They have been the most exciting team to watch this year in terms of offense. Obviously not like those st. louis rams from 1999-2001 but they are sure fun to watch.

I like to see them win the superbowl but let's be serious. They are 7 point underdogs but they are not going to even be close in this game unless Big Ben throws 3 ints with 2 Pick 6's. The Cardinals offense is great but that Pitt Defense is the best i ever seen since the Ravens back in 2000. I do not like the Steelers and I will admit that Arizona is outmatched in this game a lot more than said.

I am not sure who the public is on but i think more people are loving the Steelers though i see covers shows 61% right now on the Cardinals though that is obvously wagerline so that isn't real money. I see 52 % on Cardinals spread and 87% on the ML. So you can say it is pretty much 50/50.

I just cannot see the Arizona Cardinals still in this game when there is 7 minutes left in the 3rd Quarter. Troy Polomalu is going to give Fitz problems even though he is a lot shorter than Fitz. Again, i want to see the Cardinals win the SB but it is just very hard for them to win this game. Only thing good about this game for them is it is in Tampa so they don't play in bad East Coast weather.

Pitt's offense just would not have to make silly mistakes and we know Ben doesn't make that many. Warner is going to get blitzed, picked off left and right. I would not be shocked at all if the haltime score is Pitt 31 and Arizona 0. This is one of the most unfair games since the Chargers and 49ers back in 1995.

Pittsburgh would give up maximum 14 points and that is only if Warner throws a big play to Fitz or Bouldin. I cannot see Warner doing this with 10-15 yard passes 3-4 times in a drive b/c the Pitt D won't let this happen.

Pitt should win this game very easily. Something along 41-14. It will be like how the Ravens destroyed the Giants in 2000.

Polamalu is a safety, not a corner, so he won't be covering fitz directly. Eagles have a great secondary that Cards burned.

I'm not sure if you realize, but Boldin is one of the best WR's in the league and he's going to the Pro Bowl.

You mentioned the Blitz driving Kurt crazy and throwing picks left and right, but Warner is one of the best, if not the best rated QB against the blitz this year.

One of the best blitzing teams in the league, Jimmy Johnsons D in PHI did not do so well blitzing Kurt.

You say big ben doesn't make many mistakes? This year he had 17 TD's and 15 picks, and 4 fumbles...... he was also concoosed late in the year and holds the ball more than almost any QB in the league.

Boldin also has a metal plate in his face and he will have in the back of his mind, looking for the DB's who are wanting to take his head off.
Just ask MCGahee about that.:grandmais

Strong Safety, Polamalu's first responsibility is to take away the slant and force the receiver to go out, where the double coverage will be waiting.
I take it you don't know Pitt's 3-4 defense.

so 3 d lineman.... 4 lb's, 2 cb's, 2 safeties.

1 cb on fitz, 1 safety preventing the slant, another safety over top in double coverage all for one WR? guess that leaves Boldin in man with a CB and a LB on a slot reciever....

is that the defense that you are proposing..... because the safeties will be no where near boldin to be lit up in that formation, unless they hit him late when he's dancing for six

Just wait and see, your in for a few lessons on Sunday. They mostly use 5 db's in most of their schemes, because Polamalu is like their 4th LB.
Weren't you the same guy that bet on Delhome 2 weeks back. :nohead:

I going to have to disagree with the Boldin comment Woody. Boldin is one tough SOB and gives 2 shits about his face or body. He just loves playing football and making DB's pay. Ive seen him play every game since his rookie year, including the games after he got his face smashed in. He wont shy away from anything.

Obviously I think the Cards could easily get blown out.
They lost 37-29 to NYG, 48-20 to Philly, 35-14 to Minny, and 47-7 to NE.
And if it weren't for the injuries for Phillies D in the playoffs, the Eagles would have been here.

I'm normally a tame dude. Get a few beers in me and I loosen up a bit for sure. Had a great time with the Philly fans at University of Phoenix Stadium 2 Sundays ago.

One dude in a green jersey asked me if I remembered Thanksgiving. My response? "Yea douchebag. Good thing none of that matters on this day".

And of course, it didnt matter. Just like the scores you posted above. MEANS JACK SQUAT.

The Cards could get blown out. No doubt. Its happened before. 4 times this year.

Are THESE Steelers really that great? I mean really? They are a darn good team with a very good defense. But I dont think this Cardinals team has one ounce of fear in them.

This game is a toss up. Could be close. Could be a blowout either way. Good luck on your bet.

I did have a bet on Carolina... but only because Kingdom Come had a tease on them.

He is the NFL capper that i respect the most on this site. Not many people were against Car -2.5 anyway.

Woody, you are on the short list of people that I do have a lot of respect for as a capper, and you know more than me about sports, i'm not afraid to admit that.

I have no rooting interest in the game. You seem to be a Pitt fan. Maybe it will be a blowout, but I hope that it is close because it will be more enjoyable. My wager will be small in this game (I crushed it last year in the playoffs as a Giants fan, but ate away too much with silly props). I'm not going to make the mistake that a lot of people do in betting big because it is a big game.

Either way best of luck in your wagers...
