Ok, these two teams have met a total of 6 times this year, and only 1 game has gone over the total of 173 points......
SERIES GAME LOG
Date Location Results
Nov 13 New Jersey NJ 91-82
Mar 6 @ San Antonio SA 92-78
Jun 4 @ San Antonio SA 101-89
Jun 6 @ San Antonio NJ 87-85
Jun 8 New Jersey SA 84-79
Jun 11 New Jersey NJ 77-76
Will it be 6 out of 7 after tonight? This is Byron Scott's quote.......This series is going to be played like this pretty much the whole series," the Nets coach said after New Jersey's 77-76 victory in Game 4. "Might as well get used to it.

"It's going to be a defensive battle, it's going to be low scoring -- and you're not talking about teams that can't score. You're just talking about two teams that just compete on the defensive end."

I like the UNDER, but, i am not confident enough in it. I am all over the 1st half though.

San Antonio Spurs/New Jersey Nets under 44 - for 1st Quarter

San Antonio Spurs/New Jersey Nets under 88 for 1st Half

New Jersey Nets +½ for 1st Quarter

San Antonio Spurs/New Jersey Nets under 43½ - for 2nd Quarter

good luck UB......I read in NBA section where one poster thinks that the teams will turn it up a notch to counter the criticism about a boring series, but Byron Scott's comments above seem to have shot down that philosophy.

Good thread Hache..I believe this game will be under..Like 2 great contenders they should start out jabbing each other and being deliberate at the offensive end..Also these teams get stops and that makes them great defenders..Duncan is so overwhelming at both ends..His length takes away alot of Martins strengths..My take..Scott must outcoach his opponent and Kidd must come up huge tonight..If Duncan proves again he is the MVP it will be tough going for the home team..When the line went to 2 1/2 made me love the home team more..
