On whether she ought to take some of the blame: "I don't think anybody should give Sarah Palin that much credit, that I would trump an economic time in this nation that occurred about two months ago, that my presence on the ticket would trump the economic crisis that America found itself in a couple of months ago and attribute John McCain's loss to me." (Palin did, though, say she was "sorry" if she cost McCain votes)

John McCain's loss? Wasn't it the McCain/Palin ticket. If he would have won, would she not have also won. Like a WR saying they should attribute the loss to the QB, not the WR. Don't you win as a team and lose as a team.

Sorry, but I really don't like this woman. She wasn't worthy to be at John McCain's side. Old man was duped. d1g1t

Which charity receives the campaign wardrobe?

My bet is the Wasilla home for unwed mothers.

Youve got it backwards if were talking about conservative values.

McCain has no business running for President as a Republican. However Palin is most definitely qualified to run the post of VP on a GOP ticket.

She wasnt brought in to steal independents and undecided, she was there to calm down conservative, real republicans at a time when McCain was getting alot closer to the center to put it mildly. It worked, she did her job.

McCain could not attract much else tho.I mean when even Mexicans wont vote for McAmnesty somethings askew.

She was being blamed for McCain's loss, thus she defended herself from being blamed for McCain's loss. I'm just not seeing anything here, sorry.

I hope they run with that bullshit ticket! That way they can completely confirm that they are no interested in moderates and independents so obama can get a cake walk for his second term..

:lolBIG: its amazing that people on this forum still dont realize why the republicans lost!

It has nothing to do with the retards awoken by Palin or the fools that would like Huckabee!

Its the moderats and the independents you morons! The people in the middle that hate those kkk rallies palin was holding and do not want to be associated with them ever again.

I also guarantee that Palin will NOT BE THE NEW FACE OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. NO WAY NO HOW.. FOCKIN IMPOSSIBLE! THE WOMAN IS OPENLY HATED BY EVERY SINGLE CONSERVATIVE YOU COULD THINK OF INCLUDING MCCAIN INSIDERS!
but if she is.. i will be celebrating 4 more years of Obama. while you folks will be singing Jindal/palin 2016

I'm thinking a combination of executive experience, real outsiders, personality, communication skills and policy positions.

Name recognition will not be a problem for the Huskster in 2012.

Clearly you want 4 more years of a Democratic White House after these 4 with that ticket. They will lose by more that McCain/Palin did.

outstanding post:toast: I want to add something to this post, but honestly you said it all. We can only pray that the republicans use Palin as their face in 2012, because Obama will win by a bigger margin then he did last night

I can see Willie counseling one of his clients down at the federal lockup. " well the IRS didn't buy it this time but in 4 years we will run the same thing through again and I think they will go for it.

Anyone who thinks that Palin will be on the ticket in 2012, either as President or V.P., is delusional ... Palin's a national laughing-stock, and no amount of rehabilitation / re-education will change that.

I also doubt that Huckabee will be the Republican Presidential candidate, although I could possibly see him as the V.P. candidate ... he's a likeable guy, but I don't think he'd pick up all that many votes outside of the base.

Oh, and Illini ... no hope in hell that Giuliani is on the ticket ... the guy's a goofball, and the idea that he's well-liked by moderates / independents is more myth than reality. If we're talking NYC mayors (current and ex), there's more chance that Bloomberg will be on the ticket than Giuliani.

Rudy may not be alive in 2012 given his history with cancer and his generally bad health from using tobacco for many years earlier in life.

You sound sound like someone from Alaska a few years ago about her chances of becoming Governor.

Seriously look how far Joe Biden has got.

I like Mitt, but lets have a reality check. He spent more time and more money than anybody in the early primary states, and he didn't get squat. Maybe the worst ROI in political history. He simply doesn't resonate with people, and that's a fatal flaw in a National Election.

Conversely, both Huckabee and Palin came from nowhere and came without money and connected with voters big time. Palin got McCain into the game, he had no interest, no money and no excitement, she changed all of that.
