Look, we need oil. We can list several Countries that have more than enough. We ask them for what we need presently and into the furture

Let me guess what the list looks like:

1) Saudi
2) Saudi
3) Saudi
4) Saudi
5) And that country that's floating on oil, namely Saudi.

My original post got interrupted by some of my republican friend dropping in. The complete post should of been;

Look, we need oil. We can list several Countries that have more than enough. We ask them for what we need presently and into the future. If they do not give it up, for a fair price, say $29.95 per barrel we just take it. Hay we need it they have plenty. This price gouging is a form or terrorism that the bad Muslims are perpetuating this to hurt the good decent people of America. I say :finger: them. Take the oil.

We're sitting on a 30 year reserve of oil. We shouldn't need to borrow any. This is an supposed "INTENTIONAL SHORTAGE". I'm pretty sure you took Economics, you do the math.

The united states does not have a domestic 30 year supply of oil. In addition, even if theres 50 more years of oil for the world, once hubberts peak is reached ( as it may have been already) it will cost more and more and more to pump it out of the ground and eventually it wont even make sense to pump whats left because it will take more energy to pump than it provides.

We do have access to a 30 year supply of oil don't we? As it has been said or is it propaganda?

We are dependent on foreign supplies and the post earlier made it sound like we have 30 years worth in the usa.

Hmm, how many countries would we have to simultaneously invade to cover our daily nut of oil?

I knew I wasn't going crazy, did a little research and we do have a petroleum reserve. I don't know where it is and how much exactly is in it but they are considering using it due to damage in the Gulf by the hurricane.
