Why do people use 3, 4 or 5 largely meaningless, neutral field bowl games as a way to judge that? It might be the final results we have but it isn't much of a measuring stick for how good the conferences were.

because the stats mislead you into thinking they are better than they are. like the D league guys scoring 30 a game then can't even get minutes in the nba. pac-12 comes and plays the big 10 and are made to look like little babies. 6th overall defense my ass
