Long time posters absolutely should have the right to post here in the Offshore. There should be a rule like Two years + 2000 posts and you can post a pick.

A lot of us old timers in Offshore don't even know anyone down there. A pick or two is not gonna hurt Offshore. With all the porn and gay threads you just can't say that a pick from Shrink (oops he already posts his picks in the Offshore) or one from Judge is going to do anything but help.

JohnBuzz,

You raise a very intereting point and I will copy your post and bring it into the Board Room for discussion...

being here 2 years and having 2000 posts makes one a more experienced and trusted handicapper/sports bettor? have you even taken the time to follow some of the people "down there"? because someone has over 2000 posts doesnt mean they were quality helpfull posts. what if a mindless basher has that many just giving real gamblers crap? thier picks mean more because they posted alot? since i came here ive learned more from people "down there" and made more money from people "down there" than ive learned or made in 7 years of handicapping. oh theres some chronic losers just passing time in thier boring day but sharp players "down there" recognize the posers right away. maybe someone with less than 50 posts shouldnt be able to pose a question here. after all that persons posting inexperience cant be taken seriously according to this logic right? and certainly general and the shrink are far to busy to give thier time to inexperienced posters. im kidding of course. i just think most people have alot to offer regardless of how many posts someone has. its really interesting "up here" in the chamber of the gambling gods.lol.~RG

roxygurl,

I totally agree with you that it's quality over quantity with regards to posting picks and posting in general...

I also recognize that this forum and the picks forums are two distinct environments with many posters choosing one "home" to speak of over the other...

I rarely post in the picks forums, so I feel like I wouldn't be qualified to choose who can post "UP" here, LOL...

I believe this to be an excellent topic to not only discuss "Down" there in the Board Room, but why not here as well?

One of my fears is not to have the offshore forum getting cluttered with mainly threads offering selections...

We do have a forum for picks, but I am guilty of posting mine here...

What would some of you others like to see happen with regards to this issue...:icon_conf

Thanks,
Ken

everybody posts picks in the forum where they belong.. simple solution..

you dont see me putting my nascar and golf picks in here because i'm afraid people might not see them all the way down in the global sports forum ..

everybody knows where to look for selections . it takes 2 seconds to check each forum for your favorite posters.

you want to unclutter this forum , come up with a recycle bin for topics that go unviewed.
