I dont know how I let some posters get under my skin.

I can start a thread and if somebody replies something I dont like my blood rushes to the back of my head. I sure wish one day I could get out the habit.

Rainbow...I have always avoided that for the most part by keeping to the saying

"If you have nothing nice to say about someone, do not say it keep it to yourself


this has worked for me mostly going on 5 yrs posting here as that feeling you talk of is not a pleasant one

dante, that tag line you used to have about everyone fighting a tough battle...believe it or not, made me reflect a little.

i need to mix a little more dante into my personality sometimes...especially when i get pissed off at little things that really mean nothing in the grand scheme...like traffic or the idiots at best buy, etc.

Some posters intentionaly try to get others riled up. When you react, they have succeeded. Ignore trash and have a more pleasureable stay.

General, that is good advice. I try to keep that in mind when reading negative posts. Why give pleasure to someone trying to rile things up?

There are some people who are just confrontational by nature. I try to think of those people as not trying to be a-holes, just maybe that they had a bad day. Seldom does someone set out to be that way on purpose.

So most people fit into 2 categories: those who are trying to rile things up (which can easily be dismissed) and those who maybe have just had a bad day (so I think they don't mean to be mean).

Good posts. I need to learn to to that better as well. I've had a headache all day today from one person's post!! You guys are right.

Also, I've had bad days and responded in a negative fashion, as well. I do try to apologize but it's like throwing dirt back in a hole...somehow it all doesn't fit the same, and I would have been best to avoid saying ill of someone in the first place. Thanks. tulsa

Del SOl..I think the rule of thumb is and I do this is that you should post as if they are standing right in front of you... thats how I do it anyway been working good for 4 yrs :toast:
