After betting for more years than I'd like to recall you get to the point you've seen everything.
It took about an hour for the sports book to grade all of the propositions. Once they were done I wrote down my balance.
The next day I went to make a bet and my balance was down about 5%.
I emailed beted and they told me they had taken the money because they regraded a proposition.
The prop was e james 1st rush would be more or less than 2.5 yds. I bet under. His first run, was the cards 1st play.....he got stopped at the line of scrimage.
I sent them a copy of the wager and a copy of the play by play record, yesterday.
I fully expected an apology and the refund of the money. Nope! Today they sent me an email, saying they had forwarded my letter to the sports book manager and he'd contact me tomorrow.
My question for you guys is how often does this happen. It was a fluke I even noticed. They sent no letter prior to or after taking the money back, they simply went into my acct and took it.
I'm writing this as a warning........pay attention.
Did other books do this? Does anyone have any idea why they would reverse it. Isn't 0 less than 2.5?
I'd appreciate your thoughts
the bet
1. the wager
straight wager / AEE3C...
2009-02-01 15:23
Loss
RB's - Props/FU- (Edgerrin James on 1st Rush Attempt) Under 2½ Yards Money Line -135
2. the play by play
Kickoff
Arizona ball 1st possession:
Jeff Reed kicks 62 yards from Pit30 to Ari8, J.J. Arrington returns to Ari27 for 19 yards
1st-10-Ari27
Rush
Edgerrin James up the Middle to Ari27 for no gain
I guess I'm most curious as to the grounds on which they could justify regrading the play. It must be sopme nuance I'm uaware of.
Why is this here? I'd have placed it in the nfl area but its a ghost town. Ditto with the sports book area. Besides this is something we all need to be aware of:
They can just take money, with no notice, so pay attention. Would you notice 5% of your funds disappearing? 98 days out of a 100 I wouldn't. Pay attention.....
