And I get clowned on here for repeatedly sharing the truth about Bozo the Carroll being the biggest farce and fraud of a coach around. We should not here the letters U-S-C in a sentence on our TV sets the rest of the yr. And we know damn well people will keep their sorry asses in the mix.

Pete Carroll's legacy will be the games he's lost, NOT the ones he's won

He's actually a closet 'SC and Pac-10 fan, and overall pretty bummed right now, but would never admit it in a million years. You can still be a fan of the conference and be hypercritical of it, Lord knows I am, but he has a problem sorting-out that last part inside of him for some reason.

All Pete Carroll can do is recruit in the easiest place to recruit in the country.

I like Whormoan....I have told him that before. He has proven to be right much more than the other west-coasters around here.

I'm starting to believe that... the discipline of his defenses the past 5 years have been atrocious. I don't care about how many NFL players they've had... they freakin' can't play as a team.

And that's coaching.

That's a fair observation on the surface, but do you have ANY idea what Pete inherited when he came to 'SC? From administration all the way down to the state of the Coliseum, the program was in SHAMBLES. I'll never defend him as an X's and O's guy, but I can't turn my back on him after he's given life again to one of the most elite programs in the country.

Wrong, he posts his wins after the fact. He is a complete idiot who has never been the same after admitting he was a Pac 10 fan but bet against them & got burned BIG.

Not talking about games....just facts about the conference in general. I don't follow him for plays ever, because he doesn't post them. I just think that it's funny that the last 4 years USC has had a cake walk to the BCS NC game and blows it.

I can't say anything for UGA, because they have had their chances, but not as 41 and 25 point favorites the past 2 years.

Tommy Bowden and Phil Fulmer are bigger farces IMO.

EGD, I understand that UGA may not be worth a shit...but we wouldn't lose as a 25 point favorite or more 2 years in a row.

Heck, they may lose 2-3 games this year, but we are MUCH MUCH MUCH better coached than the team that was on the field tonight.

No they aren't. Nobody is claiming they are the greatest coaches that has ever patrolled a sideline, is a master motivator, etc... Bozo has fooled a lot of people. Not me

Let me ask you this WM, what would your opinion of USC be if Carroll wasn't the coach any more? As a college football fan, do you respect the program at all for anything they've ever done? Do you enjoy seeing them in the mix each year? Etc.

HK, I must say that I like you much better than the rest of the Pac-10er's on here.

You make a very valid point.

I think Pete Carroll is a genuinely likeable guy who for the most part gets his teams ready to compete in big games, but does struggle consistently year-in, year-out against teams that he should mop the floor with. That does come down to coaching.

Recruiting wise, nobody's better, but then again, nobody has it easier.

Actually, Mack Brown has it the easiest.

That's because Tommy Bowden and Fulmer haven't won as many NC's that Pete has. You're going to get a lot of praise for being as successful as Pete.

Is Pete overrated? Sure. But his program is one of the most successful ones in the country.

Mack has it made too, I agree. However, Austin doesn't have quite the same allure as Los Angeles. They both recruit from a hot bed of talent in TX and CA, but I think Petey being in L.A. puts him ahead of Mack slightly in the "has it made" department, not to mention the media's boner for USC.

Mack Brown still competes with Oklahoma and LSU as far as recruits. Pete can literally get anyone in California he wants.
