I am seeing Blue

I am starting off leisurely this hoops season and will get into full swing this holiday weekend. My current record is 0-1, looking to reverse this.

Duke -11.5, Yes the Dukies have lost Luol Deng and Chris Duhon but, they still have a deep backcourt Ewing, Redick, Dockery and new face Demarcus Nelson. On the frontline the Blue Devils have quality, not quantity. Sheldon Williams will be tough to handle tonight if he stays out of foul trouble, and Randolph is due to break out in a big way. Duke has won 17 straight v Davidson and will have too much defensive pressure for the Wildcats to handle. Davidsons leading scorer Winters (18 pts game) will be hounded by Redick and Dockery all night. Davidson also beat a mediocre Mizzou team on 56 percent from 3, and only won by 3. Coach K will neutralize the 3 and Duke wins a quality game on the road by 17. Freakout

Davidson has always been a solid outside shooting team....and are you kidding me that Reddick plays defense. This kid is slower then my grandmother. The only reason he scores is when he is wide open. Davidson at home should be able to keep this game close....in Duke, different story. Good Luck on your play.

Pitbull, you may be right that Davidson will play a close game, but I do not see shooting over 50 percent beyond 3 as a reality against Duke, regardless of their past or present shooting prowess. Their 3-point shooting is the only reason they didn't lose that Mizzou game. I am not a Duke fan, however last year Redick ranked among the ACC leaders in FT's and Percentage. You do not get those stats by standing at the 3-point line. Maybe your grandmother is quicker than you thought. In the end Duke's D will be the deciding factor, and it will be a combination of Dockery, Redick, Ewing, Nelson who will cover Winters. GL

I am going to add Illinois-Chicago +9. The Flames have two top notch scorers and a lot of experience from last years NCAA tourny team. Banks is a legitimate big time scorer for UIC. GL

Pitbull, I have respect for all the cappers on this site. I posted on this site full time last year and look forward to all the info that is provided. It just seems to me a lot of people like Davidson because of the Mizzou win and the home court advantage and that is legit. I still believe that Duke will be able to take care of them and that is all. If they don't, there is always tomorrow. Good luck tonight.
