REPORT: EXEC AMNESTY 'NO MATTER HOW BIG A SHELLACKING' FOR DEMS

http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-...esty-No-Matter-How-Big-a-Shellacking-For-Dems

ABC News Chief White House Correspondent Jon Karl reported that according to WH officials “the president will move forward with an executive order on immigration reform “no matter how big a shellacking Democrats get tonight” during ABC’s Election coverage on Tuesday.

Karl said “White House officials are saying that you can expect the president to set an aggressive, and defiant tone tomorrow. You're not going to see any mea culpas, no big firings, no change in direction.”

He added “officials tell me the president is prepared to aggressively pursue his agenda using his power of executive authority, where he can't work with Congress, and the big one is going to be on immigration reform. White House officials tell me that the president will move forward with an executive order on immigration reform no matter how big a shellacking Democrats get tonight.”

Not surprisingly...the fat, sleazy POS Richard Trumka (AFL-CIO union boss) is in full support of this:

http://www.aflcio.org/Press-Room/Pr...mka-Calls-for-Executive-Action-on-Immigration

His statement:

The President needs to take executive action to support immigrant rights. But he also needs to take action on immigration to ensure the rights of all of us.
You see, in our country today, nearly 12 million people, and 8 million workers, are struggling to support their families without the protection of law. That is unacceptable. And it doesn’t just put immigrants at risk, it puts all people who work for a living at risk by driving down the standards that protect every one of us.
The AFL-CIO has been calling on the White House to halt unnecessary deportations since the spring of 2013 because we know that we are stronger when all workers stand together. And we know that executive action on immigration is connected to our larger struggle to ensure that all work has dignity.
So today I am here to renew our call for the executive branch to provide work authorization to, at minimum, all those who would be on a pathway to citizenship now if House Republicans had allowed a vote on the bipartisan Senate bill. In structuring his announcement, we believe that the President must include much-needed worker protections. And we know that now is not the time to expand guest worker programs that stifle wages and create a captive workforce.
It is well established that the President has the legal authority to end this crisis by granting temporary relief to a broad class of workers. It is also equally established that current enforcement of immigration law is at odds with our American vision of a just society and our values of family, hard work and fairness.
The America that the labor movement believes in does not criminalize people or deny them basic due process rights based upon their country of birth. We stand united here today because we know that we are all better off when we have fewer people behind bars, and because we find it disgraceful for private detention centers to profit from locking up our neighbors.
How the President implements immigration laws will be a major part of his legacy. The President’s job is to implement laws effectively, and the deportation crisis demonstrates that our immigration enforcement system is broken. When given a chance to fix it, Republican extremists refused. Now the President must act.
Executive action will be good for families and communities, good for workers and the economy, and good for the country. There has been enough consideration. The time for discussion, debate and delay is over. Now, it is time to act.

1. Well-established? Is it really? Where? Someone show me where in the Constitution (or any law/statute, for that matter) the POTUS is granted the authority to declare amnesty for as many immigrants as he likes. It's going to take some time once you start looking, because no such authority exists.

2. Actually, there is nothing at all stated in any citizenship laws that is at odds with closed borders. Quite the opposite, in fact. American citizens are granted their protections by the federal and their respective state governments. If you start granting illegals the same protections, then citizenship becomes totally meaningless. Try reading the 14th Amendment sometime, dipshit.

What are Republicans planning to stop Hussein's illegal amnesty?

The way they will stop it is by not funding it.

Now more than ever they have the power of the purse.

They can do the same thing with ObamaCare.

Hell, their in a position now where they can pretty much call whatever shots they want and there isn’t a damn thing his majesty can do about it.

Sweet!

This is where the rubber meets the road. If they want to control Congress past 2016 and get a Republican in the White House they better get their shit together.

Obama gave them a gift. If they fuck it up it’s on them.

I don’t think he’s bluffing. What does he have to lose?

54 eventual Republican Senators, Joe Manchin of W, Va & Angus King of Maine will vote against Obama's nonsense at every turn
& may switch parties if BO tries to pull this stunt. If he does there will be a better chance than ever that all America needs
is 11 patriotic Democrat statesmen who say this is the tipping point and impeachment of the worst possible guy ever to be elected
will be bought forth. I think in the sobriety of morning thinking about this as even a remote possibility even a doctrinaire Marxist like Obama will back down. Afterall he's backed down when cornered before.

All Republicans have to do is declare this a non-starter and nothing gets done (no judges or conformations like his new AG etc.) until he backs down. Call his bluff. They can even ground Air Force One if push comes to shove.

Unfortunately, there's a reason they're called the Stupid Party...

GOP Rep: Impeachment an option if Obama moves on executive amnesty

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Govern...The-Table-If-Obama-Moves-On-Executive-Amnesty

“We have a Constitution, and I am very disappointed from year to year that we do not follow the Constitution. To me, if you think the president has violated his trust of office, meaning with the American people, then follow the Constitution,”

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Skip the impeachment and just have the Sergeant at Arms arrest the treasonous bastard!

Look everyone has to give Obama a pass on this one, afterall in Kenya they think there constitution is just a piece of paper
that they only have to abide by from time to time & its obvious that Obama's Kenyan roots dominate his thinking.

Imagine if we had 6 more years of Obama, this country would become the United States of the World not the United States of America.

[h=1]Obama 'close to acting alone on immigration'[/h]
President Barack Obama is close to announcing major changes to the US immigration system through executive action, US media report.
Reports in the New York Times and Fox News say Mr Obama is planning to extend protection from deportation to some parents of legal US residents.
The overall plan is estimated to affect as many as five million undocumented immigrants living in the US.
Republicans in Congress say such action would be beyond Mr Obama's authority.
"We're going to fight the president tooth and nail if he continues down this path," House Speaker John Boehner told reporters.
Mitch McConnell, the incoming Senate majority leader, urged the president to "work with us to try to find a way to improve our immigration system".
"The president has been told over and over and over again - and we're telling him again today - don't do this because his executive actions are not permanent changes," he said.

he president also faces pressures from within his own party. Top Senate Democrat Harry Reid urged Mr Obama only to take action after Congress passes a bill funding the government past 11 December.
"It's up to him," Mr Reid said. "But I'd like to get the finances of this country out of the way before he does it."
Some Republicans are pushing for the budget bill to include a statement prohibiting "the use of appropriated funds for the president's immigration machinations".
Such a move could provoke a block by the Democrats, or a veto by the president, which in turn raises the risk of a government shutdown.

Unilateral action has been expected on immigration but details of what the president was considering were first reported this week.
At the centre of the reports is a plan to extend the president's "deferred action" plan, which was designed to protect young adults who were brought to the US illegally as children from being deported.
The plan is to extend that to the parents of children who are US citizens or legal residents.
The action is designed to prevent the break-up of families via deportations. The number of those affected by the suggested policy is based on how long an individual has lived in the US.
If the administration limits the "deferred action" to those who have lived in the US for more than 10 years, it would affect 2.5 million undocumented immigrants, experts estimate.

If the time limit is lowered to five years, it would stop deportations for as many as 3.3 million.
Other parts of the executive action include:

  • increasing the number of high-tech workers allowed to live and work in the US
  • an expansion of the existing deferred action plans that would move the cut-off date for children arriving to 2010
  • shift border security resources to the US southern border, according to reports.
The Senate passed a far-reaching immigration bill in 2013, but the House has not taken up the legislation.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest said the president would not take any executive action if Congress acts.
"If the House does pass the bipartisan Senate bill that's already passed, the president would happily sign that into law," Mr Earnest said.
"And if he has already made a decision and moved forward on his own executive actions, he would happily retract those executive actions so that we could implement the bipartisan Senate bill."
