Got back on track tonight and wanted to get these plays out early, so everyone has plenty of time to get the best lines possible. Anyway, to the good stuff:
UTAH JAZZ -2.5 over NEW JERSEY NETS
The Injury to Boozer has really killed t he Jazz t his year and shown them how key he is to their overall success. They should be busting down his door to try and lock him up before Miami tries to snag him in his upcoming free agency. That being said, even without the former Dukey, this team still knows how to beat bad teams and that’s just what’s in store tonight against the Nets. Millsap continues to use this opportunity to grow as a player and make up for some of the slack as they wait for the team to get healthy. The Jazz also have revenge in this one as they lost handily (by 17) back in the end of November. At the end of the day look for a throwback West meets East match where every team from the western conference heads east and just takes care of business, pure and simple.
(POD) PHILADELPHIA 76ERS -4.5 over MILWAUKEE BUCKS
We’re heading back to the well on this one as we take the 76ers as the Play of the Day. This team has gotten little to no love this year as they have fallen on their face to start things off. As I stated on Saturday, I think this team will be making a return trip to the playoffs and now is the time for them to get going. While I didn’t think the world of coach Cheeks, I think his firing was premature as this team needed time to gel but upper management thought otherwise and took him out of the position. As for tonight look for Brand and Dalembert to neutralize Jefferson and control the game the same way they did against Washington. Let’s roll with history and back the 76ers who are 6-2 ATS over the last 8 meetings between these two teams.
DETROIT PISTONS -9.5 over WASHINGTON WIZARDS
Let’s face it the Pistons are in a rebuild mode and are doing their best to imitate the Knicks in clearing cap space while still trying to satisfy their fan base. A.I. is not the “answer” at point for this team but his big cap number coming off the books is and that is the real reason they traded the slowing Chauncey earlier in the year. That being said they still can whip on the god awful Wizards. I said this earlier in the week but their front office IMO has mail this year in and are going to try and get as many ping pong balls as they can. The wizards are 2-14 ATS going off of 1 days rest and that bodes well for us as the Pistons will be looking for blood after their last matchup where they lost by double digits.
BAD TEAM (WIZARDS) + GOOD TEAM (PISTONS) + REVENGE = PISTONS BLOW OUT!
