here in CT, in a very close gubernatorial election in 2010, polling places were allowed to stay open late in Bridgeport CT (and only Bridgeport), the Democrat won by 5,000 votes statewide and by some 30,000 votes in Bridgeport

in MO, when there was a very close election (Claire McCaskill?), polling places remained open late in East St Louis (and only East St Louis)
