If I were going to own a team for 1-5 years and I could lock up a coach on your list, I would rank them:

Belichick (and I fucking hate Belicheck...but he is ahead of his time...even when he cheats he is original)
Payton
McCarthy (although last week was pretty bad)
Carroll (I hate him too)
John Harbaugh
Tomlin
Coughlin (I think he sucks...no idea how he got more rings than most of the others on this list)

I think because of his massive stupidity and his possible return to the game, you have to include the dummy Dungy in there. I wonder if Belichick even took him seriously or did he just spend the entire week thinking of which new way he would fuck over Peyton?

answer? Belichick by a mile. He has thrown it all against the colts...Cover 3, then next play 2 rushers and 9 in coverage, next play, single free... next set of downs...Lets bring 6. Combine that with beating up the receivers at the line of scrimmage.

Not even.close for #1, Belichick because of how he prepares his teams......altho, I still can't figure out how he lost 2 super bowls to Coughlin & the Giants, umm......unless the super bowls were rigged with a ton of Pats money on them.

Speaking of cheating, anyone notice how Pete Carroll got out of USC right before it hit the fan. Never trust a team that leads the nation in recruiting year in and year out. He had 5 star recruits that never even played.
