How was it not a catch? Superbowl Refs & Penalties...Seemed a bit one sided. REFS GETTIN PAID$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Hey, when your not sure if you can win it's always good to buy insurance with the referees. Seriously though, take nothing away from the Broncos they outplayed the Panthers. They obviously didn't need the extra 15+ penalties that the referees seemed to think. Superbowl might be the most rigged/worst game to bet.

I've never seen a more clear catch, the ball never hit the ground and he was inbounds. He was then downed by contact, can someone clarify how it wasn't a catch? The very next play Cam gets sacked for a fumble/td for Denver. If thats not a huge swing off the worst incomplete pass ruling I'VE EVER SEEN ( especially in big games ) REFS GETTIN PAID THATS WHAT$$$$$ EY BABY. Stay away from big games, someone is always going to corrupt. It's only natural for humans to be corrupt, government, politics, businesses laundering money, Businesses avoiding taxes. Illegitimacy will find its way into the game we love, and for that reason this game will not hold its integrity. Unless the referee's get paid millions of dollars, how will they ever stay loyal to the game? They will just continue to take bribes, and the NFL will see to it....that things continue this same road. Ah, and by the way another sleeper like this and Superbowl ratings will tank anyways, people might turn it on if its their favorite team, or for the halftime show. Thats about it.

First half, penalties were skewed against Denver, twice as many flags as Carolina, and nearly three times as many yards. What'd they do, change their minds during that halftime show I didn't watch one second of?

The only penalties they called against Denver were obvious ones where Talib was basically face smacking Corey Brown ( philly brown ) on the sidelines after a dropped pass, then ripped the head off of him when he caught a pass to the 5 yd line. All the rest of the penalties I seen we're against carolina, Neutral zone infraction on carolina, (defensive holding on DENVER) Flag picked up Result: No flag. Challenge STANDS, because WHY??? THE BALL NEVER HIT THE GROUND. HOW DO YOU LOSE POSSESSION OF A BALL THAT NEVER HITS THE GROUND. If the ball is on top of your body by the time your on the ground after the catch, and you hand is under it and maintains possession(ball not hitting the ground or going out of bounds) the pass would be complete. NOT IN SUPERBOWL 50 SUCKERS.

Honestly, if you didn't see the calls against Carolina. Your either a huge denver backer, someone who bet on denver, or are just plain fucking blind. Lol, I really laughed when they picked up the defensive holding on Denver though. Like they talked it over, NAAAA NO PENALTIES ON THAT DENVER DEFENSE. 4th down panthers.

Cam lost that game for them. If you don't agree, watch his press conference and tell me how much you respect him after that. He's the leagues MVP and he just acted like a child. He's danced and pranced around all year, but he loses a big game and he acts like a child. He will never be a leader and I know he just lost a ton of respect from his fans that he cares less about BUT also his teammates

Neither of you go out of the way to say that the refs called weren't one sided. Even the most average fan seen the calls were going to go Denver's way right away. That first challenge was REDICULOUS that it wasn't overturned. From that point you could see a group decision amongst the refs to stick with Denver.

Youuuuu must be extremely high, on any counts. I would love to be smoking what you are. His hand was under the ball, the ball didnt even nudge barely but it didn't matter because the ball was ON TOP OF HIS CHEST AS HE WAS LAYING ON THE GROUND. as he rolls over, the ball still doesn't hit the ground. Don't know what replay/game you watched/ or are watching.

Again, as I said in the first post of the thread. I don't expect any Denver Backer/Better/Fan to even bat an eye for one second that the call influenced, the entire game. & From that point on there was PI ( before half dragging olsen to the ground before he could catch)/Defensive holding ( flag actually got thrown and picked back up against denver which i thought was VERY odd... ), and several other suspicious calls. Neutral zone infraction with Panthers on Defense? Then Panthers on offense Consecutive False start penalties EVERY drive. Didn't see one bad call against Denver. Just sayin'

Sorry you last your Carolina bet. Next time maybe don't wager against the #1 defense. Just sayin.

I thought he caught it at first but after watching the replay the ball hit the ground with it in his hand then moved a bit.

Couldnt overturn the ruling on the field. It was close enough that if they ruled it a catch I don't think they would have overturned it either.

+1.

Also agree with RDTrains. Don't bet against the #1 Defense in the league. Make it 10-2 in SB.

Denver's defense manhandled Carolina from start to finish.........Manning could have been wheeled out onto the field in a wheelchair & Denver still would have won.

I thought Carolina would play way better than they did, but you could clearly see they were out coached & out played.

Will Cam & Carolina ever make it back? I don't know, but the way Cam acted after the game, probably not......the NFL loves classy players like Brady, Montana & Manning.

As far as that catch being incomplete......tough call IMO.......the ball did tough the ground but I've seen the exact same catch called a catch before, so who knows.

I do know the refs were flag happy against Carolina, but even if they weren't, Carolina wasn't gonna beat Denver today.

Didn't help J stewart hurt his foot on the first drive. It made Tolbert more of a ball carrier and he lost a fumble right away. Everything went wrong for Carolina. Cam looked like the Cam we saw the first 4 years of his career. He struggled with his accuracy and he failed to show any signs of leadership in the time of adversity.

Refs imo gave Denver the benefit of the doubt more times than not. There was a few no calls I was scratching my head at.

Truth be told that game was a snore fest.
Punts, penalties and turnovers.
When the subject of discussion becomes the refs and bad challenges it's time to change the channel.
If I didn't need to seeing the Gatorade color I'd have checked out before that one was in the books.
