How the Cambrian Fossil Record Disproves Darwin
"Darwin's Dilemma" DVD

by Illustra Media

This new documentary examines what many consider to be the most powerful refutation of Darwinian evolution—the Cambrian fossil record. The Cambrian explosion has been called the most spectacular event in the history of life, for in a moment of geological time complex animals first appeared on earth fully formed, without evidence of any evolutionary ancestors. Now, the producers of Club favorites, The Privileged Planet and Unlocking the Mystery of Life complete their Intelligent Design trilogy with Darwin's Dilemma: The Mystery of the Cambrian Fossil Record.

Of the Cambrian explosion, palentologist Stephen Jay Gould says, "The fossil record had caused Darwin more grief than joy. Nothing distressed him more than the Cambrian explosion." Charles Darwin realized that the fossil evidence did not support his theory of gradual, step-by-step evolutionary development. He had envisioned the evolution of life through a multitude of small, undirected steps. He hoped that future generations of scientists would make the discoveries necessary to validate his ideas.
Today, after more than 150 years of exploration, fossil evidence of slow, incremental biological change has yet to be excavated. Instead, we find a picture of the rapid appearance of fully developed, complex organisms during the outset of the Cambrian geological era. Early in the Cambrian period compound eyes, articulated limbs, sophisticated sensory organs, and skeletons burst into existence seemingly out of nowhere. This remarkable explosion of life is best explained by the existence of a transcendent intelligence. Darwin's Dilemma explores the Cambrian explosion and the scientific controversy that stills surrounds it. Where are the missing transitional forms that Darwin’s theory requires? Can any undirected evolutionary process explain the origins of animals?
Filmed on four continents, this fascinating documentary examines some of the most important fossil discoveries ever made… and, with them, a mystery deeper than Darwin ever imagined. For the Cambrian explosion was actually an explosion of biological information: assembly instructions in DNA and embryonic blueprints that directed the development of the first complex organisms that embody almost all the major animal body plans that exist today. Darwin's Dilemma delivers information that points unmistakably to foresight, purpose, and intelligent design.

The beauty of this DVD is that it destroys Darwinism without needing to resort to intelligent design. It goes methodically through the challenge to Darwin's theory that the Cambrian rocks have posed since Darwin's day and shows how the problem has only gotten worse over time so that at present, 200 years after his birth, poor Darwin has completely lost his bearings. Great visuals and great interviews make this DVD highly informative. Most of the interviewees are critics of Darwinism. But Jim Valentine and Simon Conway Morris also appear in it. They are stellar paelontologists who confirm that the challenge of the Cambrian Explosion remains completely unresolved in Darwinian terms.

I thought Jim Fossel was overrated as an NFL head coach and at the time I ordered the $14.99 DVD of Super Bowl highlights where the Ravens punked the Giants.

I remember that SB, and I wasn't a happy camper.

But Ray Lewis and that whole Baltimore D was just silly good. Can you believe Dilfer has a ring?! Unreal.

Kerry Collins named his dog 'fiver' beacuse "number 5, intercepted!"

From what I remember, he made a big effort to show where Darwin was wrong, which is exactly why he is being quoted in article and video you posted

Zit - you promote a video you haven't even seen yourself? And you think the accompanying texts of the production firm that is clearly into Intelligent Design and therefore not likely to produce an objective scientific documentary mean anything?

If you are really interested in this subject, here might be a good starting point: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cambrian_explosion
