so far I am down $550 on all My NFL futures

I am still holding a ticket on Arizona to win it all for $100 @ 40/1

I am also holding a ticket on Baltimore to win it all for $50 at average odds of about 70/1.

If I want to ensure a profit no matter who wins it all,

how should I wager?

I'm seeing this at Matchbook

Phil +228
Pitts +142

I guess you play with the numbers until you show a profit, no matter who wins.

You could try finding a book that offers "Name the finalists" most offer around +110, but I have seen +125 around.

Be careful though as you could just back a double between Philly and Pittsburgh and if you get -175 Philly and -250 Steelers then that comes to +120 so would be more worthwhile.

If you bet $1000 on that then you guarantee yourself $1200 ($500 profit overall)

If this bet loses then that means that you will have at least 1 runner in the Superbowl and can lay off on an exchange or back the other side and lock in some profit.

You would be down around $1500 overall but if either Ari or Balt get to the SB then you will have $3500 or $4000 still to play with...

The trick will be figuring out which book has the best over price on the double depending on what their prices are on Pit + Phil and then seeing if that is higher than the best price you can find on Name the Finalists...

Or you take todays favs ML

Phil -167
Pitts -240

You could do that one game at a time. If Zona wins, you know you have one live team, but lost whatever hedging with Philly ML

835/500 on Philly ?

SS: What did you do ?

I don't think there was that much equity in these futures, maybe just a few hundred if you equaled it out ? I didn't try to figure it.

I put $400 on Steelers at +148

I put 700 on Eagles at +228

I also put 500 on eagles on this game at +110 when they were down 7-3.

(My belief going into this was that the eagles will get it done this year).

I didnt even do the calculations, just made the bets, so let the cards fall where they may.

So another $1200 into it losing with the Eagles,eh ?

leaves you live with the Cards, some protection with Steelers bet, but Ravens are what you need....so you get the remaining birds playing each other, in the SB.

I don't even pay much attention to NFL, at this stage. I hate football, but it's on the tube for now, until I can find a movie in 11 minutes.

I'd watch re-runs of Get Smart over an NFL game anyday... if I could, but I'll bet on the NFL, just don't care about watching it, not a fan.

You'd have to pay me well to attend a cold game in Buffalo or somewhere.
