How on earth is UTEP only laying 8 at Tulsa?

This is the most off line of the year. This should be about 20-25 minimum. An 8-3 versus a 3-8. 6-1 in the conference as opposed to 2-5. I loved the Cinderella season Tulsa had last year and rode them on about an 8 game winning streak, but this is a much different year, back the same old program.

Maybe somebody can shed some light on why this line is 12-17 points off!

UTEP has wrapped up their bowl bid already and their is no pressure on them. Tulsa is 3-8 but could easily be bowling as well has a few breaks gone their way. They are a senior ladden team and will be leaving everything on the field as this is their "bowl game" against a ranked oppenent, no less.

utep hasn't been an away favorite since 1999. not sure about this year.

last year tulsa at utep won 56-28, year before at utep, tulsa won 20-0.

both tems return 8 off, 9 def.

tulsa at home, you have to take the points. with a senior qb, 4 lineman back. 4of 5 top recievers, ect.

unless their is a huge injury i don't know about.

in my opinion this is one of the bad lines all weekend.

Guys, Mike Price has turned this team around in just his 1st yr............shows how much a good coach can mean to a team, and it is also very ez in El Paso to go accross border and go to strip bars w/ little interference, another advantage for Price.....anyway.....think UTEP wins this game going away as price will NOT let his Miners lose this last game b4 the Bowl.....Tulsa not to good this year regardless of breaks...either you win or you don't and this late in the season the breaks have evened out...

I agree with the Utep has their bowl game in the bag idea and love the game at first sight, but wouldn't they want to save their players for the bowl game? Best of luck to you in whatever you play!

agree with PPeter here...

Tulsa, especially at home, has been pretty tough...I expect them to hang around in this game...if I had to bet it, I'd take UTEP, but it wouldn't be a strong play...

As a rule I don't give this many points on the road. But i think UTEP is clearly the better team here. UTEP this year is 3-1 ATS on the road and 6-1 vs the WAC. Tulsa is 2-5 vs the WAC. Both teams are senior laden teams and both have 17 starters returning from last year. The win by Tulsa last week showed they still have a little motivation. But this UTEP team is much better than the SJSU team that Tulsa beat by 10 last week. And I think UTEP will be in a revenge mode after being demolished at home by a hot Tulsa team last year. I also believe that after 7 straight wins UTEP would like to end their season on a positive note going into their bowl game. I believe the 2 biggest differences between these 2 teams is UTEP has the hot QB and the best defense. I have a feeling the final score will be close to the spread, but I can see UTEP winning this one by a couple scores. I wouldn't play it though if the spread gets out of hand and goes over 10. Double digit points are too much on the road in my opinion. Good luck
