Walks the leader off hitter on 5 pitches.
Throws the ball away on a pick-off move, runner goes to 3rd.
Next pitch is a wild pitch, tie game.

LMAO ... guess I get spoiled seeing Mariano Rivera every day for the last several year.

lander, that's nothing...the mariner's closer cost me a fortune 20 minutes ago. comes in with a 3-0 lead in the 9th against the frickin' padres and can't close the deal. unbelievable.

i have never, i mean never, won a bet trailing 3-0 in the 9th inning. just once i'd like to be on the other side of this crap.

I think a lot of people who went to bed thinking 3-0 is safe are going to wake up tomorrow and say WTF????

I read recently of a reliever who came in the game, didn't throw a pitch and got the save (win?) because he picked off the runner at first. Nothing should surprise us with the state of pitching it's in now. Rollie, Bruce, Catfish where are you?
