Be honest.

Do you really get in there and take risk?

Do you bet over your head?

Do you make plenty of money and you still gamble because you just have to have it?

Or are you just strictly a middler or scalper?

If you are blowing out a game in your favor,do you hedge at half because you want to lock in profit?

Are you a gambler or a mouse?:grandmais

I figure I lost 150k in my 25 yrs of gambling (15-40) but I know that as hard as I gamble it will take only 1 big run to get it back....I was up 750 going into yesterday, -220 on s.a. under and -550 on utah put me at even.

One day I'll hit when I'm up and double double ect ect. and get it all back.

Do you really get in there and take risk? From time to time, but not w/any conviction.

Do you bet over your head? I haven't in two or three years.

Do you make plenty of money and you still gamble because you just have to have it? Yes, I am simply a degenerate that needs the action.

Or are you just strictly a middler or scalper? Very rarely

If you are blowing out a game in your favor,do you hedge at half because you want to lock in profit? Sometimes, more often during college football. However, rarely am I up at the half.

Are you a gambler or a mouse? Neither, as said above, a degenerate who needs the action.

My real gambling days are over.

In my day I had what I would refer to as a nervous price that could fluctuate depending upon my bankroll. Over the years the price went from $500 to $5000 depending upon the BR. ($5K was pretty rare to be honest)

By nervous price I mean that was the amount I would have to have in action on a single result. eg. a hand of blackjack, a ballgame or a roll of dice to make me sweat a little.

In all honesty I know casino games are losing propisitions in the long run and treated them that way, taking an occasional shot during the 12 years I lived in Vegas and always having a limit I would allow myself to lose before I sat down. I can play BJ, Craps and even Roulette as hard as they can be played but choose not to anymore even at Rx Bashes.

Handicapping sports however are imho a different story. A sharp intuitive capper well trained in things like money management and disciplined research can earn if he has the smarts and discipline to remain consistent and never chase bad money with good.

The problem for me now is time, it takes me several hours to throughly cap a baseball game for example.

These days I do not have that kind of time while doing this job so I am just a casual player who will never get anywhere near a nervous price again.

Plus I also know what side of the counter to be on, and spent plenty of time on that side (I will leave it at that).

What's your rating?

Back to the original topic, I'm a grinder, always have been, always will be.
My typical wager is 2 to 3 * a game.
Maybe once or twice a month will I make a 5* play.
I haven't reupped online in years.

My poker game is passive/agressive.
I'll limp in with say 6-7 suited, I'll never play say 2-Q
I have no problem mucking crap all day.
I will play good starters real hard, but any marginal hand, I'll muck.

A person's risk tolerance peaks at around 25 years of a age and goes down each year after that. I have found this to be true in my life. At 25, I was totally out of control(no fear)with my gambling.
