Warriors -8 1/2 Oly/Grande,Sky 1/2.
This game is setting up for the ultimate blowout. The Warriors are running every chance, passing close to perfect at times. Great spacing, and motion. All players involved. Against the Suns last game, 3 guys score 28! And Baron had an off night. They were at full strength. The Spurs are limping in as bad as a team could limp, without being carried in. They have been stinking it up on the road, and pulled out all of the stops to get an exhausting 2 OT road win. Short, late, flight to Oakland. Warriors watched the late 2OT game at home chillin. Fresh off of the Suns beating. Spurs lose another big man, Nesterovic, 20 minutes into last night. Behind him, Massenburg and Mohammed. Mass will be the starter with most rest, 32 minutes last night. Old man Horry played his ass off last night, hit game winning trey and blocked possible game winning shot, in the 2nd OT. 43 minutes for the old timer. What does he have left? Sean Marks is his backup, since he is a backup. Not good. Bowen put in his 40, and his backup, Yikes, Glenn Robinson. Can he run the floor? Ginobili had a 50 minute 40 point gem, but he is a zombie, and Pop says will rest as much as possible. He has to. I guess we will see a lot of Brent Barry. He was not too scary last night going 1-5. Parker played his usual all, because Pop knows stiffs behind him. He logged an incredible 53 minutes, with his inadequate backups Udrih and Wilks getting a combined 5 minutes. Wonder what he has left? This game also lifted a huge emotional burden as not only did they win a double OT game, but it was a break in the road loss string. Many players after the game said, the monkey was off thier back. I would say a huge toll, both mentally and physically, at the end of a long season, it hurts bad. Manu is so beat up from hitting the floor he could barely walk last night. This is 4th in 5 nights. They were all dragging. So, have the Spurs tanked lately? Last road game vs. Mavs, supertanker, 68-104 forgot to show up. Previous to that 18 point loss in Denver. Maybe wrong to compare Warriors to Mavs and Nuggets, maybe not. Tell you one thing, the Warriors are ready to run. They will run, and run some more. This Warrior squad has beat better, rested full strength teams lately. Warriors run exhausted and undermanned Spurs out of gym. Medium play.
