Can someone tell me how many children the average American family is having these days, based on census figures?

'average american family' - three immediate children crossing illegally, two while in the US. Five more nieces and nephews until brother Pedro gets in.

I heard that there are no new WASP families in the recent census - just a bunch of young people working their asses off and living together, on and off.
