I don't think people should attack Hillary for being a woman, Barrack for being mixed race, Romney for being Morman or Lieberman for being jewish. Look at people for their ideas.
With all that being said, I think Obama tried to use being black as a positive, almost like not voting for him is being racist.
As rough as it sounds, I think Hillary being a woman turned some people off, and I think Romney being morman hurt the most out of the 3.

I felt like if Obama picked Hillary, that Mccain would do something a little bit unorthadox...
Like selecting Lieberman to take the independant vote, or even really make a splash by selecting somebody like Michael Bloomberg.
Since Osama bin bama went the normal route, Mccain will select somebody "safer" as well.

Romney or Palin, no-one else! Romney was born into a non-mainstream religion, it's still Christian no big deal to me! He'd be helpful in Michigan,
maybe in NH & other New England states & has economic credentials and is a big money raiser.
Palin is conservative and nice looking. As a woman she could bring a good % of Clinton supporters who haven't jump off the Democratic ship yet into the McCain fold, and a few undecided guys could pull the Republican lever because they would like to see her regularly on the political landscape.
