I have been receiving many junk mails everyday, I have never posted my email address in public. So I guess some books sell your email address for profit. Does anyone know how to stop receiving junk mails.

All the shady ones do. No exception.

You can't get rid of it. You can use a prog like mailwasher to get rid of some of them, but they will keep on coming forever. Never unsubscribe or click any links (not even the ones for penis enlargement pills or septic tank cleaning even if you feel tempted) because then the spammers will know that your email address is alive.

To many & it is disrespectful to the players who keep them alive.

I don't beleive you for a second here blue. Pinnacle does not sell email addresses.

Why the hell would they do it? Pinnacle makes millions of dollars so why disregard player privacy to earn a few dollars?

slash, i found it hard to believe also but its true. i opened one account last year and it was at pinnacle. the next week, i got spam emails from royal, bet365 and bodog (all of which never contacted me before). if it wasn't pinnacle, that is one hell of a coincidence.

prior to that i was getting stuff in the mail from pro5 and other crappy places. i found out later that someone stole heritage's customer list. i have had an account at heritage for like five years.

Don Best has given out mine to various books because it's from an e-mail address that I've only used with Don Best and has no other gambling connections to it.

UNSUBSCRIBE. Saying don't unsubscribe is like saying don't bet offshore because some guys got ripped off once.

The shadier outfits don't even have an unsubscribe link, but some of the other ones resect your request. They are required toby law. I remember one guy that replied to them "I'll charge you $25 for each email you send". Sued the spammer for a bundle.

It won't get you out of the water, but it is the difference between getting 60-70 emails a day to 5-10.

I know. I had to spend 2-3 weeks of 20 minutes a day unsubscribing to clear my 5 account of most junk. With 5 accounts that have been posted somewhere I now get around 20 pieces of junk a day. Big difference from the 200+ I was getting.

When it comes to spam, don't ever unsubscribe, unless you know the site or company. By clicking the unsubscribe button, you basically set yourself up to receive more mail.

Also, be aware of spyware on your pc. Some companies really don't share your information, but you would be surprised at how much information is in your browsers cookies.

Spywares are small programs that you unknowingly dowload from many sites. They sift through your cookies for more precise advertising. My pop-ups are almost always casino ads.

You may want to get Ad-aware to clean that stuff up. It really helps.

email??
I wish that was the extent of it.. I have been getting shit daily the last two weeks by
p0stal mail.

Not all of it is bad, but, some of these places i have never even heard of. Then, tonight i get a call from some book, leaving a message on my voicemail, like it was some debt i owed.
He was like "Mr. ****** this is Roger Richardson - please call me asap at 1-800-508-2387 ext 391 to discuss your account. Please refer to file # ******.."

I was like, what the fuk is this shit???? I call, and it is some off the wall book, that i still can't make out the name of.

Many books are having cash flow problems and will do anything for a buck.
