My professional opinion is that of anything over 3 posts per day by any one poster, would merit grounds for evaluation and possible therapy with a licensed psychological counselor.........such as our very own THE SHRINK.

I've come up with a fair assumption to decide whether you are a LOSER, or a person with no life, or you are normal...

If you have over 5 posts a day average, you are indeed a person who needs to get out more..

Here is the official scale.

0-1 posts a day.. You are very normal and have a life

1-3 posts a day.. You are on your way to having a problem

3-5 posts a day.. You need help and could be considered a big LOSER with no life..

5-7 posts a day.. I feel so bad for you..

7+ posts a day. You are now in the same level as a FISHHEAD, and that means, find the nearest bridge. Trust me boys, you do NOT want to end up like this guy here.

It looks like I am a big loser, as I have averaged 6.2 posts a day. But the good news about me is, as of November of last year, I was averaging 11.4 posts a day. I have really really cut down and I have now got a life. I am always out and hardly ever home..I found me a lovely lady who is so fun to be with, and I have found the gym where I love being at. I am in the best shape of my life boys, but I am still a loser.. big time. I am seeing the world for the first time in a long time and I am loving it boys. It is much better than this crap of staying home gambling and posting. I wasted 4 years of my life in here. I wish I can have em back..

Get out of the house boys, trust me, you will feel a lot better. It is a sickness being here all the time. I was miserable back then.. This is not a life. You CANNOT be happy posting. This life sucks..

you're not too bad Phaedrus. You're only averaging 4.3 posts a day, as opposed to my 6.2, or even better, Fishhead's 10.7 posts a day.. and that number doesn't sound bad, but FISHHEAD is averaging 42.6 posts a day in the last 6 months.. NO JOKE. Now that's bad..

But sick ... look at the times I post ... 24/7 just about.

And originally, a long time ago when there was no Rubber Room, no Politics forum, etc. I never posted about these things, which is one reason why my per-day average might be skewed to the low end a bit. I notice that the Financial News forum has been taken down, so that will help me a little. If the Politics and Rubber Room were removed you guys would hardly ever hear from me except for picks and the occasional relevant news item.

journey, it has yet to be done. Out of 478 posters who quit, all are still posting. And I don't mean only at rx. If someone quits rx, they will be posting at another place. It really is a drug to post. I swear, once you start, you CANNOT get out. The only way you can get out for life is if you're dead.

Posting forums is like cigarettes. Even when I go to my GF's house, and I have been there all night and I haven't been on my pc for over 4 hrs, I feel edgy.. I feel I have to go open up her pc and skim through the topics and be up to date. I cannot sleep unless I've read the rx. If I sleep and not read the rx for over 14 hrs, I feel in the morning very very anxious to open up the rx and see what i've missed. It's exciting at noon when i wake up and read all these new threads. It's the first place I open up in the morning, even before my emails or my betting.. I am 100% sure you are the same, JM..

No other site on the whole world wide web provides more excitement than rx, and you spend 15-1 ratio more time at rx than all the other sites on the web combined.

Next time you hear a guy say he is quitting rx for good. (Shrinky

) just tell him good luck and you'll see him soon..

Once you're in, you CANNOT get out.. it's a proven fact..

Forumitis is one hard ailment to get rid of. I have seen many cases here at The Rx. The symptoms are usually pretty easy to spot. A new poster gets a little attention from a few posts, likes it and decides to start a thread (important step) if the thread does well and gets replies, the hook is set. Soon forumitis sets in. Next thing you know the poster has 1000 posts and is hooked for good.

Great question. I do the same thing. Very pathetic. But addictions are addictions. Better to be addicted to this than drugs.
