How many minutes for a hard boiled egg?

I always under cook my eggs. Can someone give me a precise time that will allow the yolk to harden?

Try this DblA........ Drop the egg into boiling water. Lift the egg up out of the water on a tablespoon. When the egg is ready , the water will evaporate from the surface of the egg IMMEDIATELY. Works everytime LMAO
