How's that Rooney Rule now?

That dud Marvin Lewis is now 0-8 and his players can't even stay out of jail.

I know the arguments for Marvin Lewis... The bleeding hearts like to say that he " rebuild the Bengals". That would assume that he drafted the team. Yes it is true cincy was a crappy team for years, but they drafted really well ( not Marvin), and they were already starting to turn things around before him.

If you had the Detroit Lions and you drafted Carson Palmer, Tj Hoosh, Chad Johnson, Rudy Johnson ( who was very productive), Levi Jones a good Left Tackle, Justin Smith, they had Takeo Spikes and a host of other players, I would expect the damn team to be better. Marvin had some of the best offensive players in the league, but they still couldn't do anything on D. Here he is a "defensive guru", and his defenses were pretty much always in the bottom 5 in the league. If he didn't have Carson Palmer ( a top 5 qb), then Lewis would have been fired a lot earlier.

If you want to throw all of the rest of that out, you can look at the number of players getting locked up in jail. It was laughable. Do you think the Pittsburgh Steelers would ever put up with that many thugs on a team? At one point in time they had something like 8 players arrested in a 1 year span.

That is pretty bad when you consider you only have a 53 man roster. 8/53 = 15% of the team wearing the orange jump suit.

Marvin shouldn't be anywhere near an NFL team. He should be asking you if you'd like fries with that, or measuring your shoe size at the Foot Locker.

If it was tomorrow, it'd be a day too long

If its tomorrow its already 1/2 a season too long. Sadly though, he may get saved due to having the excuse of no Carson Palmer.

Yeah, he is a defensive guru. He only gave up 35 points to Houston in the spanking they got today.

I mean really, Chad Ocho Stinko wanted to be traded out before this year even started. The players can't stay sober, the defense stinks, what is Marvin good for? It's not like he is going to turn it around next year.

The only reason he may not get canned is the Bengals are so fvcking cheap that they don't want to pay two HC's for the rest of the season...

He's for sure gone at the end of it...

The media that was sucking him off when he first got hired. Coach Rooney rule could do no wrong. Everybody was soooo happy for him, and they made it sound like he was being discriminated against for not getting the job sooner.

Like he was sooooo long due for the job and that Rooney did the world a great justice by getting Starvin Marvin that job.
