Remember this ad on the night Obama gave yet another empty speech?

Do you see the twinkle in McCain's eye? John is very gracious and congratulatory, but watch the video carefully...

Translation:

YOU IDIOTS! WHY DID YOU LET YOUR PETTY HURT FEELINGS CLOUD YOUR JUDGMENT?? WHY DIDN'T YOU NOMINATE HILLARY????
:ohno:

The next day, John McCain unveiled his new VP: Sarah Palin.

One man's missed opportunity is another man's gain. That's how the game is played, folks.

Sen. Obama wants you to believe he has the testicular fortitude to be your commander in chief -- yet he let Putin decide his VP for him. The candidate promising "change" who wanted Tim Kaine in the worst way flinched and nominated the most entrenched inside-the-Beltway party hack in Washington because McCain outshone him so badly on the crisis of Georgia.

It was Sen. Obama's first real test and he failed -- miserably.

We told you so. :nono5:

McCain wanted to pick Joe Lieberman or Tim Pawlenty. But he gave into the right-wing and to his consultants and pollsters and out of desperation nominated someone he barely knew and nobody had ever heard of despite failing his most important qualification for VP.

A shocking McCain failure in judgment and clear evidence that Putting America First is nothing but a slogan.

False.

It's true that McCain was seriously considering his good friend Joe Lieberman and wisely 'leaked' the fact he was on his short list. Ditto for Romney and Pawlenty. *yawn*

After "vetting" all the candidates, the McCain camp realized that only two candidates generated the kind of enthusiasm and unity they were looking for: Sarah Palin and Bobby Jindal.

After feeling the backlash, they then went to Plan 'B' and chose a nominee with nearly unanimous approval among the Conservative Base: mission accomplished.

Conservatives and Independents are as ecstatic about Sarah Palin as teenyboppers are for Obama.

Keep swinging like an octopus falling out of a tree, D2.

I'm sorry D2, but the Obama camp is severely overmatched in this campaign -- and there's more to come. :103631605

Oh btw, Jerry Dobson who swore up and down that he'd never vote for McCain is -- surprise! -- enthusiastically pulling the trigger for McCain-Palin.

Praise the Lord!

Obama picked Biden because he needed a white male to appeal to Mid-America; McCain picked Palin becasue he needed some diversity to appeal to Clintonites.

Just look at your track record Joke C. you don't understand the issues or are as disigenuous as John McCain and the guys running his camp. There entire schtick is that Obama doesn't have enough experience. Instead of picking an experienced running mate like Romney or Lieberman he picks Palin one of the few that have less experience than Obama. Remember though while Palin was raising her kids and being a good mom. Obama was teaching Contitutional Law at University of Chicago. I believe that might prepare him better to defend and uphold the Constitution.

heh....Mark burst out of the gate with full bipolar Manic fervor early this AM and now he's getting his Fundy Xtian preachers all muddled up.

No one here knows who Jerry Dobson is....Maybe you're thinking of the ghost of Jerry Falwell - he of the multiple violations of the Seven Deadly Sins.
