From a Connecticut point of view.

Right now the only things open are grocery stores, drug stores, filling stations, package/ mail/ fuel delivery, restaurant take out, and little else.

What more can they close ?

Banks & liquor stores aren't open? Some are in Vancouver. Some non essential shops, too.

Grocery stores have been low on or without many items...kleenex, oats (for cooking cereal), etc

Banks only allowing 5 people in at a time. And you have to stand behind a line on the floor (social distancing) at the teller, or it's corded off.

Some other places (drug stores, P.O.) have set up a glass partition at the teller, separating them from customers.

Wait, are you Canadian?

Banks are open as are liquor stores at reduced hours ( called package stores or packies around here, that way you're not buying liquor, you're buying a package ), banks are considered essential .

All street accessible businesses are at reduced hours here, except maybe 24 hr joints like 7-11 convenience stores.

You have an awful lot to offer about the U.S. being Canadian an all. That’s interesting.

In Nevada, the only required change has been non-essential businesses being forced to shut down. Everyone else is allowed to do everything we were doing before the pandemic, though some people are choosing to make more changes to their way of life.

Ontario. Construction still going. Entertainment all closed and a lot of people working from home. Grocery, pharmacies open.

How the hell is Skip the Dishes "essential"?

Some are talking about closing travel to other states. But I believe that is unconstitutional

The USA is the world leader in many ways & dominates this forum, so it's "in your face" all the time. It's also in rather high priority in Canadian news sites. Additionally, BTW, many people are dual citizens.

And that's nice and all but unless you are from here and live here in the U.S., your criticism of our government, specifically our President or anything related to what we do or don't do isn't very welcomed.

Pretty similar to me not giving two fucks what you do in Canada or commenting on what your government does/doesn't do. It's not my business.
