yea. Any given day is certainly a factor.
Also, SC has a stigma of lolly gagging through the soft part of their schedule. Look at the teams who've beat them. Stanford was last in the Pac10 last year and upset them. The UCLA loss was another sleep walker considering they thought they had the NC birth sewed up.

Oregon State is a different story. they definitely have SC's number up there in Oregon. Also mobile QB's tend to do well against SC's defense.

Oregon state was just absolutely on FIRE !!! that game and at home. I forget his name but that little running back they have.....he was just unstoppable the first half...that was actually one of my all time favorite NCAA games right behind Texas USC 0'07....

People underestimate the importance of some of the PAC10 home fields. Playing in Corvalis at night is tough for anyteam. OSU caught USC right after they had destroyed Ohio St on national tv and right before USC was to play Oregon and ASU which most considered their top challengers for the PAC10. Add to this, the inexperience of Sanchez at QB and the uncertain RB position for USC. Also, Beavers can play defense. Let's not forget that Oregon St is ranked in the top 20 in total defense nationally. They play a pro style on defense and to beat USC, that's what you have to play. Look at how they confused Pitt a couple days ago. Pitt had no answer for the Beavers defense.

Its just a shame that SC won't get to spank either Florida or Oklahoma. They'd throttle both of those teams very easily and here's why. SC has the athletes to match the Oklahoma WR's easily and it would make the Sooners have to run the ball, which they cannot. Against Florida, They would have Taylor Mays spy on Tebow. My guess, and I've actually discussed this with a couple of NFL Scouts, is that Tebow would not finish the game after being punished by Mays. You ask about Percy Harvin, USC would be able to put their big Corners on him when he is split out or in the slot. As one of the Scouts said and this guy is pretty reputable, USC has better talent in the top 22 that several of the NFL teams in the NFC and AFC west. Litterally everyone on the USC defense will be drafted when they come out on the first day of the NFL Draft. Similar for the offense as well.

I guess you forgot how OU looked against TCU or Texas. Neither of those defenses are within 100 yds of USC. I could be kind and ask you to remember the Orange Bowl when SC hung half a 100 on OU. But I will be kind. There is no part of the Sooners Offense that would concern the USC defensive coaches. They would only be more prepared to play against a Heisman Winner.

Just a thought though.

Rodgers and Rodgers was Oregon ST's entire offense. There is a reason why J Rodgers won Frosh of the Year in the Pac 10 despite not even playing a full season. Kid is a very good RB.

Oregon St is a joke without those kids offensively and defensively they were very good all year except vs. Penn St on the road and vs. Oregon without their 2 playmakers.

I love the way the homies make their picks. All you need is a homey BS detector and you'd win a ton.

I've "marked" his words and look forward to more of the same.
