Thank GOD I had them +3....Florida just became the victim of probably the worst personal foul call of all time. The Side Judge was STARING down both players when they slapped each other and Florida gets the flag.

SEC officials should have their paychecks withheld this week.

It is normally common knowledge here that the Big 10 officials are the most incompetent NCAA officials in any college sport (and I'm not just saying that beacuse JoePa would want me to) but I have to say the SEC refs lately are definately a threat to the throne. I don't have a problem with the personal foul. They were bad calls for and against the vols. we have lost to fla in the past over bad calls.
when I started playing football in the pee wee's my coaches and father told me it was always the 2nd guy who get the penalty - DO NOT RETALIATE. It goes from the pee wees to the pros. It will never change. I personally didn't think that it determined the outcome of the game. It just helped. You get bad calls for and against you- it is part of it.
I don't know if anybody remembers th jabar gaffney NO CATCH in the endzone a couple of years ago in the final seconds. That one determined the outcome of the game. We lost in knoxville.

yall are buying into the ESPN bias that has been going on since the Peyton days. Did you see the recap and highlights - it was the Chris Leak show and by the way the ref determined the outcome of the game and the vols happened to win - that is where the bs is.
I will refer again to the jabar gaffney no catch in knoxville. I didn't hear any whining in here or on ESPN.
I saw a lot of bad calls for and against us - - that is how it goes. It is still a penalty to hit someone back - he obviously shouldn't have done it. If the fla player didn't do it there would be no penalty

That's the problem with this call. The side judge was blatently staring down both players and didn't even reach for the flag after the Tennessee DB made the exact same slap at the helmet the Florida player did. Once the Florida player made that slap...instant flag.
If the Florida player had been the only one to make contact with the opponent's helmet while the Side Judge was looking at them then yes it would be the right call to flag only the Florida player. The fact that the Side Judge was STARING DOWN BOTH PLAYERS AND SAW BOTH HITS TO THE HEAD and only flagged one offender is insane. I think the fact this game was in Knoxville got to the side judge. He made a biased call when he should have been unbiased.

Volhound lives in knoxville. I was there for the game, those people are naturally dumb there and have horendous accents.
Volhound- before the Jabar Gaffney catch, florida got flagged on an "offensive facemask" inw hich we scored on and got called back.
btw- UT would have had around 16 seconds when they should of got the ball back.
