Yes, call around.

I would check first with PROGRESSIVE.

Found them to be the cheapest.

Depends on the Sex of the driver too.

I found State Farm is the cheapest in MD area.

Erie Insurance is by far in some states (PA for sure)

Have checked with Geico twice but they cannot beat the rate we get from State Farm (due to multiple discounts). I suspect rates in every state will vary along with each person's individual situation.

Drive a motorcycle ! Dirt cheap to insure. You can't do much damage ( except to yourself ! ).

Check out Horace Mann. I have a friend who works for them, so I use them and they are cheaper than any other I could find. I was dating a school teacher at the time and I was able to get some extra discount for saying that we were engaged, so maybe try that also.

They have been greta also, about 2 months aftre I got them, My car was stolen and recovered w/ close to 40k in damage. They would have totaled it and given me a new car as it was less than a year old, but the first appraiser came back w/ a estimate for only 8k in damage. The supplemental was for 30k.

Identity...what state you in?? I work for an insurance company. Geico is crap and especially if you ever have a claim with them. I believe Horace Mann is for teachers only ACE. I was insured through them up until Mom retired from teaching. not sure though. The best is to get a few well known names and call for a quote. Depends on what you want from your insurance company too. Do you just want the cheapest insurance out there?

There are places that do this type of thing for you. I have been using such a place ever since I was driving - my parents use the same place. Not sure exactly how they make money off of it - if they charge the companies or add onto your cost - but their business is to get you the best deal. Something like progressive may be a better option though - I have never used another way. Just something to consider.
