Speaking of cookies, do you know that the "Cookie Monster" on Sesame Street has been retired? He was replaced by the "Veggie Monster" which is politically more correct than cookie monsters. Maybe granola bars are next in line to be thrown under the bus. Hard to say.

Sorry for the interruption.

Nope. Cookie Monster is still alive and well. Thank goodness! :toast:

In 2006, in response to growing concerns about record levels of childhood obesity in the U.S.A., Sesame Street began airing segments entitled Healthy Habits for Life. In these segments, the Muppet characters of Sesame Street talk about healthy habits, such as eating properly and exercising. The Healthy Habits for Life segments spawned false Internet rumors that Cookie Monster's name had been changed to Veggie Monster or would be taken off the show entirely.

Definitive proof of this fact can be found in NBC's Matt Lauer Interview with Cookie Monster:

So at least some of that is true. Are you sure the cookie monster is still "feeding" all of his propaganda to said young "obese" minds?

See how these types will celebrate "Famous Amos" and his chocolate chip cookies on the tonite show then in a heartbeat, throw him under the bus when it conveniently suits them? In today's political climate you can't even eat a cookie without ridicule.

:ohno:

( I also feel sorry for Otis Spunkmeyer... Pepperidge Farm??? Sell sell sell, and the Keebler twins will be on the FBI most wanted list shortly. The Veggie Monster has only just started his reign of terror.)
