How do Fines of $5,000 or even $25,000 HURT the players in the NFL

Randy moss may get a $5,000 fine...HOW IN the hell does that amount hurt him at all....$5000 is the amt of money The General and Fishead LOSE in gambling almost everyday and they are still around . so in the case of the NFL players they need to start fines at min. $150,000 that would curtail all the bull

Even though i thought what Moss did was pretty classless, i think the whole thing's been blown out of proportion. Geen Bay IS known for taunting black players They must've been giving Moss utter hell over him walking off the field early last week. $5000 is the absolute max he should have to pay for this.

Their contract states that they are to be professional at all times... So a fine maybe in order... Yah...it doesn't hurt them that much... But do you think it should? No...I don't either.

The NFL will always give fines out for every little thing because they have to please their advertisers which pay their bills.

Moss's antics don't call for my idea of curbing the showshitting, but it is time the NFL adopted a "GAME AND GAME" punishment. The fine would equal the amount that the player makes in 1 game and they would ALSO ride the pine or "hot seat" for 1 game and subsequent acts of unprofessionalism would costitute the "DOUBLING" factor where as a player with a previous GAME AND GAME would get hit twice as hard the second time and then 4 times as hard for the 3rd infraction... and so on and so on. If the NFL started handing out game suspensions for all the bullchit , the coaches would drill it into their heads 'NO PHUCKING AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Time for a political rant...

American fines are a joke in general. A $500 speeding ticket could be a month's wages for some Americans, while it's a drop in the bucket for others. Our fine system creates unequality under the law. The rich have a license to break the law simply because fines don't affect them, while the poor could be devastated with such a fine.

NFL fines are a joke. The way the players get hammered though is loss of endorsement deals. Kobe's fling in Colorado cost him a LOT of money. Forget the $4 million ring he bought. The endorsement deals he lost could cost him $100 million over his lifetime. That's where they get hurt.

Moss will be less likely to get endorsement deals after such an act.
