1.....i wish i could unfortunatly im a poor mf'r and dont have much choice.....also i havent won any tourny over a $250 guaranteed in about 4 months now....i play at about 6 sites and have to withdraw approx 3-5 hundrded a week to hekp with living exp, so i just cant build a bankroll without outright wins....that 10 buck tourny payed 1st pl about 9 grand if im not mistaken...would go a long way to getting me back to a decent level...

2....well i agree that if thats a pattern overall its not good...however in this particular situation i was UTG and was determined to fold if put all-in....i didnt because this was a bully who had been buying hands for quite awhile....my intention is to NEVER get all-in preflop in these tournys till im in the money...i didnt follow my own rules and it cost me

3....you dont know me very well....lol

4...get used to badbeats?....my biggest hold back/leak/weakness is my mental part of the game...i tilt wayyy to easily cus i take losing any hand very seriously...i am working on that...
NOW as far as this not being a serious poker forum i disagree, this (the r/x) is the largest sports forum on the net..so yes we have a lot more of the rigged/newbies and just plain bullshitters than anywhere else..but that doesnt mean the regulars here are not serious..im a regular at 2+2 as is matt, we get looser here because thats how this forum is...we'd love to have you here on a regular basis, the more serious the better ....

Want to know why this poker forum isn't taken more seriously? Here:

Regardless, go back to twoplustwo where you millionaires can jerk eachother off over $20.00 bonuses.

So we do. If there were fewer "poker is rigged" rants and more serious topics posted then maybe there'd be a greater presence here.

PPP, I read this thread because I actually was interested in your original hand. It was a bad beat post, but at least it was an interesting puzzle. You got a couple of relevant responses, too. Here's my take on bad beats: They happen more at NL than at Limit; they happen more in tourneys than in cash games. So play limit cash games! Or keep working on the tilt.

By the way, BaseballGuy, don't just tease us millionaires. Provide a bonus code!:103631605

baseball, I make more in bonuses a month than you would imagine.

Quick, there are more suck outs at limit than NL. THe difference is that a bad beat in limit wont cost you nearly as much. Its all relative. I left limit after suffering too many bad beats. If you bet aggressively enough in NL (cash games) you can knock out much of the suck outs. But sometimes that moron will call you down with the inside straight draw, no matter how much you bet. If you follow that guy, you will make your money back and some.

On the same note, if i posted every bad beat i suffered i would be one of the leading posters on this site. Over time my ability to handle bad beats has gotten better, but its not perfect. I think all of us trying to get better at this game.

I do agree that threads discussing how site X (Party poker or other sites) is rigged is plain stupid.

You may be right about the number. Maybe I just don't feel them at limit. I've played so much that I just shrug off a beat. But the NL beats just make me want to pull my hair out. I make a lot more money at limit without the extreme variance of NL. About the only kind of NL that I like to play anymore is SnGs. It's been said that limit players have a very hard time making the transition to NL...I have to agree; I also think it cuts both ways.

PPP, I was just trying to mention an option for you if the game was making you crazy.

im also reading Killer Internet Poker by John Vorhaus....some real good chapters on emotional swings.....my biggest problem. hopefully ill conquer this shit and get to winning some serious money again....

Even when i dont say it i do appreciate everyones input...the good and the bad. you cant fix a hole you dont know exsists.....thanxxxxxx

I stay away from online poker at all costs. Granted I dont get to play real poker often so not playing online hurts my experience as well as I get rusty, but I just dont trust the sites at all. :monsters-

If you think this is a bad beat you are out of your mind
Yea it was nasty but you lost a coinflip
Online poker isnt rigged and even if it was this would be the worst example of why it is rigged
If they did rig the deck why do it on this hand? You were all in pf they could have just had the guy hit a jack to beat you
Take a few beats where you get all in on the flop as a 99.3% favorite and when you lose that is a bad beat- but it will still happen 7 times in 1000

If you had 99 vs qj all in and the board was:
jack 5 2 3 4 would you be complaining?

Now if you had flop a full and he called you with nothing and went runner runner quads on you I could see being pissed but if youve never lost to runner runner you havent played much

By the way propoker player why are you only doubling the blind with kk and not raising anything but big pairs? Infact if someone had just got to your table they might do exactly what the guy did with the 88 thinking your raise is very weak. This would be the only reason I would ever double the blind here- hoping someone comes over the top of me. I think youre costing yourself a lot of money by doing this espeically in tournies where stealing is important.
