How can the NFL hand out the MVP Award so early?

I thought it was Regular Season only that counted for the MVP award ?

It has to be since its MVP of the regular season.

I understand why they do it. I find it incredibly stupid. Just have one fucking MVP for the season. Who really gives a shit if you are the regular season MVP if you lay a big fat turd in the playoffs? It would have more meaning. This just looks like the NFL sucking Mr. Mannings nutts.

if you went by the numbers, rivers warner and peterson would be the regular season MVP. id put them all before manning.
