I watch NFL games and bet on them sometimes but I have to address something. NFL is by far the most popular sport in America but personally, I like it the least out of all the other major sports. It is painful to watch in my opinion. Every single person in the NFL seems like they are brain-dead. I just can't understand the appeal. I can watch a college football game much easier than an NFL game. For example, take this GB/MIN game on now. GB had like 10 tries to get into the end zone on their last possession and they couldn't do it. They try a run up the middle to get into the EZ. They got stuffed by MIN. So next play, they try it again, run up the middle and they get stuffed again. They try a couple of passes when they are almost on top of the line of the end zone which rarely ever works because you need more space to make good passes and of course those don't work. So they try running up the middle again a few more times and get stuffed on each try. Finally they get in on an extremely lucky pass. How difficult is it to call a different play??? It's obvious that what you are doing isn't working but they refuse to try something else. Try a little misdirection and a fake and let the QB run it in. I can almost guarantee that would have worked right away. And almost every team in the NFL does this same run up the middle which is stupid and it almost never works. Where is the originality? All the coaches and players must be brain-dead. I just don't get it. NFL is terrible!
Well please explain it to me then. I want to understand. It seems as though every person in the NFL is a moron. How many teams do you see run up the middle 100 times a game? Like the defense isn't expecting that? They can't come up with anything else? How does a QB ever take a sack when they could just throw the ball out of bounds? Taking a sack is terrible for your team yet almost none of them are smart enough to get rid of the ball!
Like any other sport, you either like it or not.
Having Coached myself for over 20+ years, calling different plays don't always work. It still comes down to my guys beating your guys to the block, to make the run or pass work.
Misdirection usually doesn't work, when you have a QB that isn't that good.

Still better than college football because you can be the 3rd best team in the sport and have a chance to play for a championship, unlike college where you play some other dissapointed team after a 6 week break in a neutral stadium with a lame atmosphere in order for your school to get some dough.
I don't even have to mention how the play is like 10x better and coaching as well. You can't just air it out all over the field on vanilla college D's with small corners and no tackling. Sometimes ya gotta pound the rock. Sounds like you just started watching football.
