I think it would be poetic justice if the Pac 10 wins the trophy for the best record in bowl games

There was way too much glee in the Pac 10 bashing earlier in the year. Several teams lost their starting qb's and the younger backups struggled. They lost some interconference games and the bashing began (whoremoan).

Theres a great old saying........it isn't how you start, but how you finish, that people remember.

Yeah Cal had a convincing win over Miami (Qb was atrocious), Oregon State couldn't move the ball, Oregon was only nice win. Let's not over estimate their wins against very weak opponents. That being said, USC will destroy Penn State

Next year people will be talking the P10 up big time. My guess is that 3 for sure and maybe 4 teams could be top 25 preseason. Great to see the conference get back some of the respect lost earlier this year.

Are we aloud to call people names? Just funny how guys who know nothing about the Pac 10 bring up the Oregon St game and how they didn't score.

Oregon St is missing their MVP and the only other play maker they have. Both kids were key in beating USC, especially the RB. Had Oregon St had the Rodgers kids I think they beat Pitt by at least 30.

This year the Pac 10 was down and we still went 5-0. USC is usually an automatic win but I think that SC D is a little overrated and the SC offense is a mess. SC has more talent than anybody in the country but coaching obviously matters so tomorrow will be interesting to me. If i had to bet I'd take Penn St if I could get 10 or more. I would probably even take the current 9.5 but with the history, past and present, of USC just B Slapping the Big 10 it could be another blowout.

Congrats to the Pac 10 for saving face. They lost early only because they are the only conference that actually schedules real football teams. The out of conf of most other schools is laughable.

BTW, I like San Diego / Indy under for some reason. I've watched Indy and SD a lot. 51 is a lot although I can see it going over but my guess is this thing stays under.

But, yeah wins have not been too impressive so far... but a win is a win. I'll take it. I'd wonder what the spread would have been if it were USC against either Florida or Oklahoma... or Texas for that matter. (at least thank God Oregon State didn't go to the Rose Bowl!)

yep i agree, these bowl games have shown that this pac10 is a pretty tough conference after all, that pitt oregon st would have been a much bigger win for oregon state if the rodgers boys were in, plus ore st did their best to keep pitt in the game.

these have all been pretty impressive wins really. oregon st beats pitt without maybe their 2 best weapons on offense does everything to keep them in the game they can and still wins. the zona game vs byu wasnt really as close as the score indicated, oregon was clearly the better side vs ok st, cal has a braindead coach and 2 terrible qbs which is a bad combo to cover a big spread, and tomorrow will be the icing on the cake for the conference.

On a local radio show out here in Vegas, LVSC top oddsmaker Kenny White basically admitted that he felt SC would demolish Penn State w/out coming right out and saying it. He said only reason line was bet down was because SC's offense was not scoring as many points this year. He said that would not be as big an issue since the line is a lot smaller than most USC lines and he did not think PSU would break 10 points in this game.

it dropped because the game will probably low scoring DUHHH. theres still a ton of action on penn st anyways. you have ntohing better to do then get a hard on for a shitty conference. do you have a good reason for backing penn st besides the line dropping. probably not.

let me clarify that i dont agree that usc will beat penn st by more then illinois last year, i agree that the pac 10 conference is stronger then was expected, penn sts defense will keep them in the game i see it being about 28 10

it seems like usc and under is the play if penn st somehow stays in there it will be becuase they were able to stop usc, i dont see how penn st could stay in a game that goes over the total.

They averaged 36 ppg in conference play. What the fuck are you talking about?? The scored a shitload on the alleged strong Ohio State D too. Penn State's defense is no better than Ohio State's.
