I am heading to San Jose in a couple of days for a business trip and to meet with the people I spoke about before regarding a job. I was offered four choices for hotel, which would you all suggest?

Best Western Irazu
Aurola
Barcelo Amon Plaza
Radisson Europa

Where are you conducting your business? Best Western is located on the west area of San Jose while the other 3 hotels are located on the East area of San Jose.(Mall San Pidro)

Both sides actually. I know exactly where the hotels are, just I have never stayed in any of these in particular before and these were what were offered to me for a couple of days. I have been to the Europa to play poker before and liked the place a lot, but it is a bit far from most of what I will be doing.

If the Radisson Europa is too far away then I wouldn't suggest the Barceló Amon Plaza as it is only about 5 blocks from the Radisson Europa. I do really like the Barceló though. The Aurola is just about 3 blocks up the hill from the Barceló Amon Plaza. The Best Western Irazu is on the completely opposites side of town then the others. If you have business in Heredia or Escazu it would be good. Personally I don't like the hotel. It's a hole.

My Fav in San Jose is the Barceló San Jose Palacio

Hmmmmm, after looking at those 4 choices Im not sure what to say......

All 4 are about the same....

The Corobici is nice, so is San Jose Palacio....

A bit further away is Herradura....still on the main highway though...

Distance isn't too big a deal because my buddy, the guy that I am doing some projects for, is willing to drive me almost anywhere and I will be with him most of the time. But he is not the one paying for these hotels and is much closer to the BW. He did say the BW is lower in class than the other three. Oh well, I told the guys to put me up in the Barcelo Amon because of an emailed suggestion. Thanks for the advice, I will post a CR trip report, if much happens, when I get back just in time for the first NFL Sunday

If I had to chose from those 4 I would have to say something in the bottom 2

the top 2 are not very nice at all

My Choice would be the RadissonEuropa, great place, I was happy and comfortable there. PLus, eating and entertainment is just up the street.

I saw once that they also had a walk-up shop in the Radisson Casino, but I don't know if it's still there, but it's close to just about everything. And did I mention the casino. It's a 5 star also.

is that right!
