They keep a different website for each agent and his customers with the specifications and restrictions the agent have requested. I think if you get in contact with the in CR they could rent you a place and whatever you may need.

the benefit of these guys is that normally you wouldnt need to hire separate staff as they take care of everything and they can offer you office space etc

however if you do have your own software, hardware.......and have IT staff ....normally it would be much cheaper to just get a rack in either RACSA or cyberfuel, its hard to beat 700 bucks for half a rack..............

What's cyberfuel?

I wouldn't trust an Internet-critical business to RACSA.

Digital Solutions offers pure server co-location as well, with the benefit of being triple-homed (RACSA, ICE & Sattelite) and behind Prolexic's state-of-the-art Anti-DDOS system (additional fee, but worth it).

How much is this type of sportsbook worth?

$100,000 in player accounts
$100,000 in weekly volume
700 customers (not active...total)
Square action (limit/boots winners)
Great reputation for customer service and payouts for 2 years +.

This seems like a small book that would be worth an investment but I am wondering how much this type of book would be worth as I am not sure what the going rate is.

Any insight from you guys set up offshore? All input is appreciated.

EDIT: sorry about that guys...wasn't trying to hijack your thread...I was trying to start a new thread.

They are a colocation facility located in Forum.

RACSA itself is dual-homed, same as ICE is dual-homed through RACSA, I don't think I care about satellite redundancy, if both fiber optic cables are down at the same time well...........thats the 0.00001% probability.

You can get Prolexic DDOS with any provider (probably you get a discount if you go through Digital Solutions...but I don't know about that)

Outside CR there is plenty of colocation centers that have high quality services as well...once of them Ecommerce Park in Curacao

Once again, 700 dollars for half a rack......hard to beat

(Question for Adam, does Digital Solutions have their own AS number? )

Not an issue of the fiber line going down. Just a matter of RACSA screwing up a router, which they do with great frequency.

Prolexic also handles the routing of all traffic to the DigSol Data Center (whether or not you opt-in to using their Anti-DDOS system). I'm presuming that Prolexic routes their internal traffic more intelligently than BGP, but I'm not knowledgable about their network design. You'd have to ask DigSol.

QUOTE]

In the colocation room downtown they are normally pretty good (not because they are geniouses simply because it rarely fails), in the one they have in calle blancos (their second colocation room) they still have the VSAT stations that handled the entire internet for CR before fiber got here, they must use them for some extreme case I supose.......but I can only imagine how they would do trying to get some % of the traffic out that way

Paradise Poker had some of their gameservers down there for years without a problem, the one time that there was a meltdown with Maya RACSA switched to Arcos/through ICE quite fast (for their business customers only, the dial ups ....sorry you will have to wait )

About the AS number question I only asked because I am curious to know how they manage to have multihoming with ICE/RACSA AND a third party, it must be quite an (administrative) nightmare to get RACSA and ICE to allow them to advertise BGP routes of their customers, between RACSA/ICE obviously its a no-brainer , they are buddies , but just dont see either one of them allowing a separate AS number to advertise routes within their boundaries.

I will stop now cause it sure sounds like I love RACSA :monsters-

That's what I answered, I would assume that Prolexic has intelligent load balancing and fail-over for "Costa Rica Fiber / Satellite Services" traffic given they control both end-points, and would not rely on BGP announcements. But you'd have to ask them.
